ISO barn help for one full day a week. Baystone Farm is located in Hopkinton NH. Quiet, horse focused boarding farm. We take pride in providing excellent care with farm owners living on site. We need one reliable individual to work 6:30-5:30 one day per week doing feed/turnout/turnin/stalls for 22 well behaved horses. PM for more information and to set up a time to meet!

Another Rita Brown clinic in the books! Everyone had some terrific moments of learning and development. It was a great but chilly day 🥶. As always, not enough pictures and video but I did catch Jill Dumont on Miss Diva working on her canter. She’s really coming along so nicely for a green bean! 💚🫛

Another fabulous Rita Brown clinic. I am so proud of the progress that my little Diva mare has made and Jill did a lovely job with her today. It was kind of nice being the proud owner just sitting and watching rather than doing! Thanks Jill! JD Dressage is teaming up with Baystone Farm to officially offer training packages! Jill is an FEI trainer that focuses on helping horses and riders foster a better connection through biomechanics. She works with various disciplines and levels to help horses find their niche and riders achieve their goals.

Baystone Farm is a multidisciplinary 26 stall farm in Hopkinton, NH about 15 mins from Concord. Quiet, horse focused boarding farm. We take pride in providing excellent care with farm owners living on site and full time staffing. Solo or small group/pairing turnout with safe new wood fencing with electric in place. All day turnout, stalled at night. Large matted stalls. Hay given 4x per day and Poulin grain 2x. Attached indoor and large outdoor (weather permitting) rings available. Round pen. All footing is premium ggt and well cared for. Indoor is dust free.

Who remembers Angel? She was one of our past rescues around Christmas time a few years back. Angels mom often checks in and updates us on how she is doing. What a beautiful home this pony has. Angel is a star in the film (How Horses Heal). We would love the support, if any of you can make it to see the movie, it's Thursday December 19 at 600pm at Cape Cod Community College. Another fantastic Rita Brown dressage clinic at the farm today! We are so fortunate to have dressage trainer Jill Dumont training at our farm who made this connection, bringing Rita to teach clinics here. It was a chilly but fun day of learning. Started with Diane and Scout who accidentally got their trot so forward that they cantered for the first time in 3 years! Looked like it just naturally fell into place. Sarah and Fleur came to truck in and we hope they will be back for the next one. Jill Dumont had a busy day training two of her clients horses, Nancy’s Manzi (pictured below) and Sophie’s Tootsie. She also worked with her personal mare Rosie- they will be shining stars 🌟 this upcoming show season. Myself, the non-dressage hunter rider of the group 😬 rode my Lolo mare and worked on our counter canter and lead changes…. Then showed off a little bridleless work. Every training session with Rita I learn something new that I am doing as a rider that can change and then transform what we needed to work on… leg yields, lead changes…. All things that hunter riders can benefit from too. Hoping to schedule another Rita Brown clinic in January so stay tuned and come join us!

Today Lisa Hern-Silvester gave Diva her first massage. Diva wasn’t sure that anyone should be touching her hammies like that but then she realized it felt ok so she let her 🙃

Left the farm today to ride the DTR Manchester Water Works Fall Fundraiser Ride. What a great group and the trail itself was great. 8 miles on wide paths. Best part was that ALL dogs we passed WERE ON A LEASH 🥳 Such a relief. It’s very stressful to be on a horse and have a loose dog run up. Anyway, I will definitely do that one again next year!

Rosie is my beautiful mare who was retired at age 8 due to some arthritic changes in her cervical spine. Heartbreaking. She will live out her years with me as a pasture puff companion mare. I don’t like to anthropomorphize horses (since is horsewomen do that far too much) HOWEVER… Rosie seems to get very jealous of my other personal mares since they are in work and therefore get more attention. Lately, she has been even more expressive with making faces and pawing in her stall when I am grooming or tacking up my other mares in the evenings. So, this week I decided to do more liberty and trick training with her for fun. She LOVES it! She’s a quick processor and gobbles up treats which is making it a quick endeavor! Such a fun girl to work with even if there is no “goal” to reach for 😉

The boys are enjoying playing in this snow ❄️ took my mare out for a quiet walk outside until she decided she’d like to have a roll in the fresh snow with me still on 😜 Silly mare! (No video of that!)
