The Christian County Animal Shelter is a regional shelter that serves the counties of Christian, Trigg, and Todd Counties. Our mission is to help animals in need through sheltering, adoption, education, spay/neuter, and community outreach. We strive to build a community where people value animals and treat them with respect and kindness thus bringing an end to the cruelest practices towards animal

s. We aim to lower the number of homeless/unwanted animals and build a stronger animal protection movement within the community. Most importantly, we strive to find the best possible outcomes for all animals released into our care. Call 270-887-4175 from 10:30-4:00 Tuesdays through Saturdays to make an appointment.

Elegant, graceful, and simply stunning — Duchess is a true beauty with eyes that could stop traffic. This lovely 2-year-old feline was owner-released, and while we don’t know much about her past, we’re enjoying getting to know her charming personality each day.
Though her full history is a mystery, Duchess is currently doing well with the other cats in our care. We’re unsure how she feels about dogs, children, or whether she’s litterbox or house trained, but with a bit of patience and love, she’s sure to settle in beautifully.
Whether she's perched in a sunbeam or giving you that signature royal gaze, Duchess is the kind of cat that makes every day feel a little more special.
