WE GOT A HUGE WIN TODAY but not out of the woods just yet! We are officially able to move to the next step in this stressful process. We got conditional use for the property we are trying to buy! Hands were shaky and clammy as our hearts were pounding sitting through the council meeting and stress is through the roof but I’m so incredibly happy to have a direction to go in! We will be off of Johnston Trace only 1.7 miles away from our original location! Thank you so much for all the words of encouragement and continuing to check in with us! We are so much closer to being able to open our bigger, nicer more amazing facility now Pet Lodge family!

Well we are so incredibly upset right now. I have no answers for you guys. We drove from Texas to be here for the meeting to get approval from the city to start building to have them cancel the meeting!!!! The new date is is now July 9th!!!!!! It’s one blow after another after another for us. I really appreciate y’all’s patience as we navigate this. My heart hurts for all of our babies not having their home away from home available and them being displaced. The stress is unreal at the moment and every single day counts for us to get back open for yall.

Hey everyone! I know there’s a lot of questions everyone wants answers to and I wish I had more answers to give BUT I do have one update!!! We have a piece of land under contract for a new build of The Pet Lodge! We are so incredibly excited to have a direction to go in finally! It’s been a really, really long time since we’ve had any for sure answers about anything but we for sure know we are heavily missed while we try to get all this mess figured out! We are so excited to build a brand new beautiful facility! I promised I would keep yall updated and as more concrete answers pop up yall will be the first to know! Now we are talking to the city to get everything ironed out! Hold tight everyone we will be back soon!

Hello amazing Pet Lodge family!

Ive had the pleasure of meeting some of you face to face and this comminuty is so incredibly amazing!

As we go thought this process of getting back open for all of you I’m going to do my absolute best to keep everyone as up to date on whats happening as humanly possible! As of now we are having to do inventory to get back to Insurnace. I don’t expect to hear anything back for about 2 weeks unfortunately. I’ve gone to the municipal building to talk to the permitting office on what my next steps need to be for remodeling the existing buildings or tearing everything down and building a brand new building. This is going to be a huge hurry up and wait type process as we have the answer to insurance and the bank

I know so many of you want to help however possible and I’m going to be posting avenues for you to do so on here as they pop up. I know a lot of you are wanting to donate to help. I will likely be making an Amazon wish list for things needed as yall have twisted our arm and not really given us a choice in that 😜 to which I’m so incredibly appreciative. We had an amazing crew helping out this morning!

The next step is I need an electrical person to come out to give me a quote on repairs. Following that I’ll
Need a HVAC person as well. If you have someone you love and trust can you please comment their info below for me to get in contact with! I know all of you have Mrs Tammys phone number but id like to give her a Little break from her phone ringing and dingining from all the text and phone calls if possible. This also allows me to quickly search for suggestions and have everything in one place rather than a ton of different text messages to have to run back through.

I can not thank yall enough for how much love and support yall have shown to The Pet Lodge and Mrs Tammy! I promise to do my best to get back open as soon as possible for yall and I know all the babies are missing their friends!

I have not been able to respond to everyone, but I appreciate all the calls, the messages, and the comments. I especially want to thank the 2 members of the Hopkinsville Fire Department who came to help me get the dogs out, the rescue members who got them in the boats and to safety, and to the Christian County Animal Shelter and Clippendales for coming to make sure they got somewhere with a roof and some heat and all those who offered to house these babies. I want to thank every volunteer who came to help take care of them at Clippendales. Please bear with us for the next several days, I will try to get back to everyone. My main priority was to get the babies to safety and let the owners know the status of their pets. We will not be able to have daycare or boarding for a while, but there are several other facilities that would love to help.
