This is merlins other Akc rally virtual run from Sunday night. Wow both Ron’s were good from a technical scoring point of you, this one was exceptional and the fact that the dog ran 99% on signal Only, with Minimal verbal praise Or direction from me

When I advise people how to pick a dog trainer/ handler I tell them to watch a video or observe a class with the volume down or put headphones on. Dogs are nonverbal. If the dog and the trainer work well you will see it in both parties body language. Look for the dogs engagement and willingness to work. That will tell you a lot about how the trainer will treat your dog. 

I wasn’t going to post both videos. A friend and I were discussing The Dog’s commitment to the job and his obedience future. She told me I should take credit for the work I put into him. I’m not usually about that but I decided I should. I didn’t get to work with Merlin from a puppy. Blank slate dogs often do well. I didn’t start working with Merlin until he was unsuccessful with another trainer. He has been rebuilt... and I can’t be happier or more proud with what he’s accomplished.
