Stevie has never known a life without detection. From 8 weeks old shes prepared for her future work by searching for her food, her toys and eventually the real thing. The learning continues each time we get out there. We are incredibly bonded. I kind of go against the over arching idea that a working dog shouldn’t be treated like a pet. Shes my lap dog, my adventure pup, my hunting dog and most importantly my K9 partner. Maybe I got lucky or maybe it’s because of how she was brought up. Either way, I couldn’t imagine it any other way. I have never loved doing something more and I know she feels the same.
