New Castle recap!

We had the opportunity to steal Maverick (Stevie x Tally) after not seeing him in four months he’s maturing beautifully. He was 2nd in his class both days entered.
•
Chio, who hasn’t been shown in almost 2 years, did not miss a step and was the go-to newbie dog. I can always count on his mellow temperament. He was also 2nd in his class both days entered.
•
Lilly is still chasing her majors but proves age is just a number. At 8 years young we constantly hear how puppy like she is. Lily was 1st in her class both days and was reserve winners bitch on Sunday.
•
The big winner of the weekend was Nell who got to be shown by a new friend. She would 1000% have traded me in if she was given the opportunity. She was select on Friday and best of opposite s*x for two 3 point majors Saturday and Sunday!

Nell’s Columbus recap, she picked up two more points and two champions defeats towards her grand! She now has all required champion defeats. We also got to represent in the owner handled sporting group all days entered. No placements but we made so much progress this weekend!

Nell also ran at the GSPCOH hunt test this weekend and was able to get three passes towards her junior hunter title.

She was all go, and not a lot of woah on her first run on Saturday. We will have to find one more test to finish her out, and then it’s onto senior for her as well!

We are devastated to have to make this post, on March 13th we had to let Cajun go.

He had a linear foreign body but ultimately passed from surgical complications. For two long weeks Cajun fought hard and never gave up even when his body couldn’t handle anymore.

We couldn’t be more grateful to everyone on his medical team at Heritage Veterinary Care and Ohio State University that fought with him.

A special thank you to Karen for breeding such an exceptional young dog. And to Gina for training him into the special show dog he was.

We miss him so much and are so thankful we got to spend as much time as we could with him. He made every bird, spin around the ring, and day count.

Cajun’s official win photo from his first Best of Breed win! It was our first weekend out together since he was playing in the bpup ring around 5 months old. He’s matured so much since we were last a team, some of that is due to age and a good bit is his time with his other mom!
•
