We’ve been seeing a lot of lameness in our livestock patients recently.
This bull had a piece of metal penetrating into the sole of one of his claws.

It’s Meet the Team Tuesday!

Lorna has been with us over 2 years as a part time receptionist, but if you know Lorna you know she doesn’t stay sitting in a chair for long! She is always finding chores to do around here. Lorna keeps our plants fed and watered, pulls weeds, does laundry, keeps the office tidy, and a million other things around the clinic.
Lorna is very active in her church and community and has 4 grandchildren that also keep her busy.

We know it’s Fall, but please don’t stop giving your pet parasite prevention! We are seeing more fleas now than we did all summer. If you see fleas on your pet, we recommend prescription treatment for at least three consecutive months.
If you have questions about which parasite preventative is best for your pet, reach out to us at 785-366-6587.

It’s National Vet Tech Week! 🐾

We take this opportunity to celebrate our entire team because it takes all of us working together to make our little clinic something special. No matter the job title, every team member plays an important role in caring for our patients, supporting our clients, and making Countryside the best it can be. 💜

Dr. Taylor performed an enucleation, surgical removal of the eye, on this calf. Unfortunately, the eye was bulging, glaucomatous, and nonvisual so removing the eye was the most humane option.

It’s Meet the Team Tuesday!

Caitlynn is one of our part-time vet assistants. She is currently a third year vet student at KSU College of Veterinary Medicine. Caitlynn is from Southeast Kansas and enjoys working in a rural mixed-animal clinic because she loves helping pets as well as horses and livestock. She has horses and dogs of her own, and her major life updates include getting engaged 💍and recently adopting a heeler puppy from the student spay/neuter program! 🐶
