Calling on all Ex-Legion and Ex-High School baseball players (or anyone that’s interested in helping)!!
The entrance sign to Jack Goosen Field is certainly showing it’s age. The smaller signs are about 99% faded. I would like to start a fundraising effort to refurbish it as well as the Ho**er H***y Toads and Bulldogs signs below. And sorry for picture quality, some pics were taken at night…it’s w**d spraying season and I’m short on time during the day.
I’d like to try and raise enough to get all three new signs. I’ve secured the services of a company to make the signs as soon as enough money is raised to start the work. Any money raised over the amount of the signs will be given to the newly re-established H***y Toad baseball team for travel, meals, equipment, etc.
I was going to do a crowd-funding website but couldn’t find one that didn’t charge a fee. I agree with fees but, in this instance, I would like every penny to go to the signs and the organization. I would be happy to accept cash, check, Venmo, CashApp, or PayPal. Whatever makes it easiest. I will be keeping a spreadsheet of funds received and will be happy to provide that to any donor that would like to see the amounts…or just wants to keep me honest! 😉
