Saturday, September 27th is Neighborhood Pet Store Day!!!
Last year our party was such a HUGE success, and this year our lineup is even better!
You can look forward to BIG weekend deals and sales, 20% off all treats and toys, 50% off summer gear, a "count the bones" guessing game sponsored by , local musicians, raffle baskets, adoptable kitties, guest appearances by pet professionals , and many more!
We'll also have some extra special guests from the pet food industry! The founder and owner of will be here giving out free samples of gently cooked dog and cat food, as well as founder and owner of who will be giving out free pints of goat milk!
We'll have "barkeuterie" cups for pups, filled with pork sausages, .pdx freeze dried cheddar cheese & heart shaped biscuits!

Why is this pup so dang cute?!? 😍
Two reasons:
1️⃣ He was just adopted from a rescue in Madras, OR.
👏👏👏
2️⃣ His new mom took him to and washed his old shelter life right down the drain!
🤩🤩🤩
Any guesses what his mix is? (We don't know either, but curious what you think!)
If you haven't tried the new hound wash, you're missing out on maximum fluffiness! It's a self-wash station and everything you need is right there for you, including tubs, ramps, mild shampoos, towels and dryers. It's located on 17th & May Street, across from the aquatic center.
If you come into our shop this month and mention that you used we will give you 10% off your entire purchase!

Hey Hood River! There's a new dog in town!
Hood River Hound Wash is a DIY dog wash station on The Heights! It's fully automated entry is seamless, and the wash station can handle the little pups, all the way up to dogs that are 200lbs! Shampoos and dryers provided, all you need to do is bring your dog!
It just opened this week, so for all you dirty dogs out there, get up here and get clean!
If you come into our shop between now and September 30th and tell us that you used the new dog wash station, we'll give you 10% off your purchase!
Love this new service here in The Gorge, we've so needed it!

Hello friends,

We have a customer who does TNR in The Gorge, and she and her husband just rescued 55 kitties living in a trailer. They actually towed the trailer, complete with cats, to their property and are caring for them!

All kitties are now treated for parasites, URI, they have one round of vaccines and will be spayed or neutered before adoption.

These kitties need to get out of the trailer and into homes!!!

It's here, it's here!!! 😻

Perfectly Cooked CAT food is here!!!! (Why it isn't called "Purrfectly Cooked" is beyond me...)
This product really rounds out our fresh cat food options, and so far, kitties have been LOVING it! Even our high-brow shop cats Squid and Nori both ate the beef sliders. 🙀
It comes in 2 # bags, Turkey, Chicken & Beef, it's complete and balanced, and it is on frequent buyer. Please ask for a free sample next time you're in! 😸

I'm such a sucker for a Pointer puppy! 🐶
Love this sweet matchup, Sage and Angus are going to be excellent buddies, along with two other older pups.
Rockin' the new Blaze Orange harness and eating all the good foods. Can't wait to watch you two build your relationship.

Beautiful sweet Benny would like to share that the 4th of July can be difficult even for the oldies. While their hearing may not be as acute, the vibrations, energy and flashes of fireworks, firecrackers and gun shots can terrify all dogs, cats, rabbits, birds and wildlife.
We do the best we can, but please, stay home with your pets this 4th and try some calming practices and products to help ease their fears. If you need help, we are here with suggestions and support.
