Today is a long over due appreciation and introduction post for this wonder-woman extraordinaire, Freedom Ciavarello. Freedom was originally referred to as an assistant, serving The Dalles with Lucky Locks inside of , but she has been so much more — a confidant, a true friend, an inspiring fellow business owner, a cheerleader, a collaborator, a wisdom sharer, a truth seeker, a vibe elevator, and Lucky Locks’ right hand woman for the last year plus. Being a small but rapidly growing business can feel overwhelming at times, and Freedom’s presence and support has been nothing short of angelic.

To share more specifics about Freedom: she is an alchemical herbalist by trade, believer in mindfulness and a lifelong creative. Her gorgeous skincare company, Moonbeam Daydream brings a holistic approach to beauty that encourages self love and self acceptance. Along the journey of life, Freedom has worn many hats, which has made her the special surprise of a human that she is. You’ll have to talk to her about all the interesting hats, but the most recent addition is that of skilled hair sparkler holding down the fort in The Dalles as and our headquarters in Hood River, Oregon until April. She has been a believer in keeping our sparkle bright even before she even met her first hair sparkle. ✨

It may be a little late for a holiday post, but we all know how unreasonably insane the holidays can be for many , and amongst it all, instagram posting has not been top priority for Lucky Locks in 2024 (some of you have noticed and the algorithm has most *definitely* noticed 🥴 Oh well.)

What *is* top priority for me is to connect with everyone and share a heartfelt thank you for an amazing year of relationship building, as that is what 2024 had been about…deepening with you (clients, collaborators, salon accounts and brand partners) who have become true friends and have even grown to feel like family, the excitement of connection with new clients and introducing you to the unexpectedly big magic of these small sparkles, and then for all of the amazing events and collaborations we’ve been so fortunate to have been a part of this year. Our team is always honored for the trust you have placed in us to bring magic, fun and professionalism into your businesses, to your employees, and into the special events you have planned.

For those of you who have had the privilege to meet the Lucky Locks mascot , thank you for loving on him as he has had a rough patch of health as of recently but will be turning 15 on January 11th and I’d say he’s going pretty dang well for the age he is. I believe love is what keeps his tank full and his tail wagging, so thank you for filling his tank & mine too. ♥️

It’s been a fun and bustling December over here at Lucky Locks! The holiday season is quintessentially the sparkliest and we are honored and grateful you thought of our team when it came to your company holiday parties, family and friend gatherings, makers markets and dreamy pop-up collaborations.

This year has been especially fun seeing folks we sparkled a whole calendar year ago, showing us their remaining sparkles from their last company party with us, or their last holiday market attended.

It’s never surprising, but always delighting knowing you carried a little piece of our experience together with you through the year.

Since 2016 when Lucky Locks began essentially as a recreational activity aside to my bread and butter design work, I did have this secret little vision of adding magic to people’s shopping experiences at because let’s be honest, Anthro is not just shopping but a visceral experience. Do we agree?
