Today, Sally the cat came in for her spay surgery, and we thought it would be a great opportunity to show what comprehensive surgical care looks like from start to finish. 🐱💜

Sally’s procedure included not only her surgery, but also individualized pain management, post-operative laser therapy to help reduce inflammation and promote healing at the incision site, and careful monitoring throughout the procedure and her recovery. Before heading home, she is resting comfortably and recovering exactly as we hoped.

When choosing where to have a surgical procedure performed, it’s important to look beyond the procedure itself. A quality surgical experience includes thorough patient monitoring, appropriate pain control, supportive therapies when indicated, and a team dedicated to your pet’s comfort and safety every step of the way.

Sweet Ralph made himself comfortable in the lobby by snuggling up with his mom before his vaccine booster visit, and we couldn’t get enough of the cuteness! Moments like these remind us that keeping our pets healthy means more happy years of love, comfort, and companionship together.

Tiny paws, big personalities, and endless purrs — kitten season is one of our favorite times of year at Platte Lake Veterinary Clinic 🐾🐱

🚨🚨🚨While these little ones may spend most of their time indoors, cats still need protection from fleas, and ticks. Fleas can easily hitch a ride inside on clothing or other pets, and ticks can carry disease.

We’re so excited to introduce Juliet, our new Client Service Representative here at Platte Lake Veterinary Clinic—and even more excited to wish her a very Happy Birthday! 🥳🎂

Juliet brings a lifelong love of animals and a strong background in customer service to our team. Originally from Benzonia, she’s dreamed of working with animals since childhood, and it shows in the care and kindness she brings to every interaction. Her goal is to make every client feel welcomed, supported, and confident in the care their pets receive.

At home, Juliet stays busy with her two adorable pups—Sullivan (an Old English Mastiff) and Beatrice (a Basset Hound)—who keep life fun and full of personality! When she’s not at the clinic, you’ll find her spending time with family and her boyfriend or enjoying hobbies like reading, crocheting, and embroidery.
