Happy 8 weeks to the pupperonis! (Though I’ll make an official 8 weeks post after) The pups all had their 1st exams, all cleared their vet exam A+, got microchipped, & 1st vaccines. I’ve sent in puppy f***l samples to the vet & they came back negative. (I believe it’s so important to have all these cleared before going to their new homes).

Bubbles was the calmest during her exam & she wagged her tail happily & confidently but calmly without wiggling around.

Buttercup was a very happy wiggle-butt jumping at the vet for loves & so excited for this new experience 😆

Blossom (Disco’s) energy was right in the middle of Bubbles & Buttercup in some happy wiggly-ness but also knowing to stay still for the important parts of the exam.

Mojo was also excited & showed his comfortable silly side going on his back for belly rubs & was called the ham of the litter lol. Though, poor baby boy Mojo screamed the loudest for the shots & chip 🙈 but he forgave them instantaneously by flipping over for more belly rubs😆

Overall, I’m very proud of them & how happy they were in new situations- just all at different energy levels. I also brought them boiled chicken to make it a good 1st experience at the vet for them🥰 there are some pics of them going crazy for it lol especially the most food motivated Buttercup😆

Happily & proudly announcing my keeper of the litter: Alohana’s Disco Baby! Call name: Disco 🪩💃🎶

She’s my dream for what I’ve hoped for in a black & tan for a long time- I feel so blessed that she is my future hopeful to continue on this amazing line from her pawrents & all the other amazing dogs before them who have been health tested for countless generations & are absolutely beautiful standards of the breed. Disco’s temperament has been so balanced in confidence & energy but can also be thoughtful & chill. Her structure is also an improvement of both of her parents which always should be one of the goals when observing puppies growing up after you’ve made the appropriate pairing of parents with those goals in mind.
I’ve always wanted to name my black&tan baby “Disco” since I feel they are the most fascinating color of cavalier as for how color genes go. They have the biggest color gene pool out of the other cavalier colors and that’s one reason why I felt “Disco” was a fitting name. This is not to focus too much on color like how off-standard color breeders do because breeding anything other than the 4 standard colors, is unethical. The 4 standard colors are Blenheim (chestnut & white), Tricolor (black, tan, white), Ruby(rich red), and Black&Tan. I’ll never understand truly the greed of breeders who breed off-standard colors/off-standard dogs and not even health testing on top of that :( the demand is there because many misinformed pet owners think these off-colors are unique but they’re riddled with higher risk of suffering & lower quality of life..

Anyways, it was so difficult to choose my keeper from this litter because they’re all so gosh darn adorable & beautiful all in their own ways. I did my best to only keep 1😅 They’ve been so much fun and they’re so smart & catch on so quickly to everything I teach them. At least I have all of them for a while longer before they go off to their excited new furever families 🥹💖 it’s starting to sink in- I’m def gonna miss these babies. I’ll definitely keep posting many more posts about them before that time!

Happy 7 weeks, (part 2)since yesterday was their cute video💕 there’s been a continuation of sound training, learning not to resource guard, practicing elevation on grooming table, wobble board, different surfaces, seeing the crate as a safe space if needed, riding individually on short car rides with me, eye contact, and body handling of keeping them comfortable with their paws, legs, mouth, ears, head to be touched, holding on back like baby, and re directing biting.

They’re all very smart babies & learning+growing so quickly💡🧠✨ very proud of their progress so far!

And again, a reminder that I never advertise puppies online. I just sharing puppy posts here to show what type of upbringing puppies should go through when growing up in their most important first weeks.

P.s. And also to say how proud of how they’re turning out- and how they all have such beautiful well-filled eyes that look straight forward. I saw a Reddit post that many people commented that all cavaliers have wall-eyes (bug-eyes) that face outward but that’s simply not true. It’s not an ideal look as it takes away from their soft gaze that this breed should have. It’s certainly common now with breed standards not being followed or cared for but it shouldn’t be the norm in this breed. It’s a bit sad that many felt it was normal in the breed since there are so many non-standard cavaliers being bred. Just a note^

Their favorite one-ingredient chews has always been from Belly Rub Kitchen after much testing of seeing if I could get duck feet or chicken feet in bulk on Amazon (sorry for cheating🙈) but they know the difference & they’ve taught me to never try that again.. & to only get these from BRK😂😅 Thank you BRK for making their favorite one ingredient health chews to keep them enriched, happy, & satisfied.

The current puppies are now exposed to the BRK magical yummy goodness now- shown in the videos if you keep swiping➡️😆😋
