Our Story
All my life I’ve always had an Akita, don’t remember a time without one. That friend that cuddles you when your down and out, that friend that’s there to go on an adventure with you. The way they fill the gap in your life is unexplainable. In 2013 we decided we wanted to share with others what the true Akita was made for. Akita’s originated from Japan used for hunting and later found that they do a good job of guarding the house hold, and watching over your children, and the Akita was a good luck symbol in Samurai legends. We are striving to produce an Akita that looks and plays the part. Our Akita’s are protective of their family and will alert you of any intruders. At the same time they will stand down and allow visitors to come in and welcome them once they know they aren’t a threat to there family. We believe if you want a good family dog you have to raise a family dog. Our Akita’s are apart of our family, they come and go as the please. We own 30 acres and they go with us to check fence lines, we ride horses and they go with us on trail rides, they ride in the truck, go on camping trips, even go to the store (if store always). If you think you want your next pet to be an Akita maybe you should consider Little River Akitas.
