Your fish food plays a big role in how colorful your tank is . Your fish get their colors from their food , genetics play a big role but understand some pigments your fish can not produce on its own such as red. They have to get that from their food . Now if their genetics aren’t red they won’t show red but if the genetics are red they still will not show red if you don’t provide enough of the carotenoids they need in the food. ( things like krill or red algae)

The Cichlid Barn provides high quality food for maximum coloration.
