There is a peace in my soul that is intangible. I love what I do. Some days are hard, but my reward is tired muscles, a few new bruises and peaceful sleep knowing I worked hard for my rest. Earning a fearful dogs trust is a reward in itself. Watching a matted and neglected dog come to life with a little soap, water, shears and patience is immeasurable. Having a dog "happy p*e" because she is so excited to see me is awesome. Knowing I'm grooming an elderly dog for the last time is heart wrenching yet it fills my soul because I get to pour my love into that groom and say my goodbyes. I am not just a "groomer". I left my previous job being a college dorm housekeeper because I couldn't stand the rat race of human drama anymore. My soul was drained. Like I said...grooming has its bad days....But the good far outweigh the bad. I'm blessed.
