Every year, we ask our clients to collect a f***l sample 💩 for intestinal parasite screening🪱.
Parasites cause concealed damage to GI tract and many are zoonotic (contagious to humans)!
Who knew that our dogs have been thinking this the whole time?!? 🍫😂

I’m excited to share that March 14–21, I’ll be traveling to Honduras with Christian Veterinary Mission for a weeklong mission trip 🇭🇳 and several clients have asked how to provide support! 😊

I’ll have the privilege of performing surgeries and providing medical care for animals, but even more importantly, our team will be connecting with local families—sharing God’s love through prayer, encouragement, and the hope of the Gospel. ❤️

I got to spend most of my weekend with my laptop 💻 at my local library 📖 and it was THE BEST TIME! For the last 3 years, I have had the joy to participate in The House Call Vet Academy Annual Virtual Conference. An amazing group of dedicated and highly educated veterinarians gather from all other the world 🌎as we each grow and refine our House Call practices. This tribe crosses continents and time zones to connect, share, teach, train, support and encourage as colleagues within this niche space of veterinary medicine.🩺🐾🏠
My heart 💛 and brain 🤯 are so full!
I’m delighted and excited to bring the things I’ve learned and the inspiration I’ve received to impact the lives of my patients and clients!!
A weekend well spent!! 🤓👩🏼‍⚕️😁

An update that 🩺 The Wandering Vet 👩🏼‍⚕️will be unavailable for House Call appointments March 14–21 while I serve on a short-term veterinary mission trip to Honduras 🇭🇳 with Christian Veterinary Mission.

Our team will be working in remote villages providing spay/neuter surgeries 😷 and parasite 🪱 treatment, while also praying 🙏🏼 with families and caring for communities with limited access to veterinary care. This will be my first veterinary mission trip in over a decade, and I’m grateful for God’s leading to serve in this way.

Appointments before and after that week are booking as usual, and I’ll do my best to ensure continuity of care for established patients.

If you feel led, I would deeply appreciate prayers for safe travel, wisdom, and skilled hands. Some clients have also asked about supporting this mission financially — while never expected, a tax-deductible giving link through Christian Veterinary Mission is available for those who wish to partner.

Last week, Dr. Denise and her family had the joy to serve at Tagbac Elementary School in the Philippines!! 🇵🇭 Dr. Denise gave a presentation to the 4th, 5th and 6th graders about bite prevention, rabies vaccination 💉and pet care.
At this school, each student maintains an organic garden plot for 30% of their grade. The school has made amazing improvements in this rural community by improving education and teaching garden techniques and healthy eating. They helped the students to start their gardens by planting seed trays and seedlings of string beans, raddishs, squash and okra. They also propograted herbs of stevia and peppermint (used in their juices).
They learned delicious recipes for immune boosting fruit juices and made a few batches of cucumber, carrot, beet, dragon fruit and purple pineapple juice. 🍍🥕🫜
The boys even played basketball and chess during recess. Such a fun time of learning and sharing together!

Summer days are great for front yard visits 💉with new furry friends, and French kisses from cheeky Dachshunds!!🐾 Doobie has a history of nipping when nervous, but with Dr. Denise he was a sweet gentleman...even lavish with his affection 😘
Specializing in Fear Free care, Dr. Denise takes time to build trust and bond with her patients. Her slow gentle approach, and lots of treats, allowed for Doobie to remain calm for a full exam, blood draw, vaccines and nail trim.
