The Hero's Closet is my way of taking something I enjoy and sharing it with everyone. I took a cup full of talent, a ton of creativity, and scoop of love, threw it in a blender with some nerdiness and heroism to create The Hero's Closet. Here you will find the things I love. I specialize in creating Paracord survival bracelets, collars and keychains. These can save your life in a pinch. Every inch of the bracelet, collar or keychain is equal to a foot of Paracord rated to handle 325lbs or 550lbs. You should never leave home without these. You never know when you have to repel off a tall building to save that damsel in distress or rescue Timmy from the well. 🎃 HOWL-O-WEEN PUP CUP TOUR: THE FULL BLOCKBUSTER 🐾
Today was Beaver County Humane Society’s Howl-o-ween, and we showed up with a cooler full of pup cups. 🍦
Our leading hero: this tiny legend rocking our Sundance collar, whipped cream on the chin and zero regrets. We are NOT okay. 😭🧡
The rest of the cast stole the show: 🐺 A husky who sniffed once, approved, and then WINKED mid lick 🎃 A pumpkin Frenchie fully committed to the bit 🦈 A SHARK. We heard the theme music. 💖 A pup in pink fuzz and pom-poms, side-eyeing us mid lick 🦇 Blue wings, bat bandanas, and a ghost-pajama hairless hero with the tongue boop of the century 🐝🐔💀 A bee, a chicken, and a skeleton Yorkie in ONE frame 🥛 A pup who went FULL whipped cream and does not care who knows it 🥹 And the sweetest faces of the day, with pit mix sweethearts giving us those eyes
Every pup who stopped by got a cup. Huge thank you to the Beaver County Humane Society for hosting such a fun day and for everything you do for animals. 💛

🎬 NOW SHOWING: The Dogs of Elm Street 🐾
Last weekend’s Howl-o-ween Costume Pawrade in Edgewood was a full Hollywood premiere, and these pups OWNED the red carpet. 🌟
🔪 Chucky the pug, serving menace and a tiny knife 🍔 The Hamburglar, a perfectly matched dog and human duo 🦸 Superman the dachshund, cape secured by safety pin 🏈 Referee Labs with their rubber ducks, plus a football-field pup 🐄 The cow, moo-ving down the runway 🌮 Taco pup, extra salsa 💀 A skeleton with the best grin of the day 🌭 A hot dog dachshund who took home the TOP DOG trophy 🏆

Not a single pup missed their cue. Thank you to the pawrade organizers for putting on such a fun event, and to every costumed hero who strutted by. You made our weekend. 💛

🦸‍♀️ THE PUP CUP PARADE HAS ENTERED THE CHAT! 🍦🐾
Edgewood, you did NOT come to play. Today’s dog parade on Elm St. was a full-blown cinematic universe, and every single hero stopped by for a pup cup. 🎬
We saw: 🔪 Chucky the pug, wig fully committed, whipped cream on the snoot 🦸 Superman the dachshund, cape pinned and ready to save the day 🍔 The Hamburglar cavapoo, who we are 90% sure came for the pup cup heist 🧚 A poodle fairy with WINGS (we are NOT okay) 🐄 A cow-costume doodle who stole the moo-vie 🌮 Taco and hot dog pups, one with a full cream mustache, absolutely iconic 💀 Skeletons, football fans, and so many good boys and girls
Every. Single. Pup. Got a cup. And every single one earned it. 🏆
A HUGE thank you to the Edgewood parade organizers and to every pup (and their very patient humans) who stopped by to say hi! You made our whole weekend. 💛

NATIONAL BLACK DOG DAY 🖤🐾
Today we’re celebrating the moodiest, most photogenic, most criminally underrated dogs out there, black dogs! And we picked the PERFECT weekend to do it, because we just got back from PUGFEST, a whole event absolutely overrun with pugs, pug-wannabes, and approximately one billion wrinkly black faces staring into our souls.

Black Dog Day exists because black dogs are statistically passed over at shelters more than any other color and honestly? We are NOT okay with that, because this weekend proved black dogs are the main character energy of EVERY event they attend 🖤

Halloween came early at Pugfest and the costume game was UNMATCHED we had a glittery black beauty in a full bee costume, wings and all 🐝 A tiny witchy queen in a purple tutu that moved like she knew the cameras were on her. Multiple black dogs rocking pumpkin-print fits because apparently black dogs invented autumn. And an actual SPIDER PUG with light-up eyes crawling across the lawn, which is either the best or most terrifying costume we’ve ever seen (we’ve decided it’s both) 🕷️
Then there were the ones who skipped the costumes entirely and just brought pure, unfiltered black dog chaos wrinkly faces tilted up at the camera, wide eyes catching every bit of sunlight, tongues out, living their absolute best lives in their new Hero’s Closet gear.
Black dogs are dramatic. Black dogs are soulful. Black dogs photograph like they’re starring in a moody indie film even when they’re just standing in a field. And we love every single one of them.

🍖🎪 MCKEESPORT LIONS VENDOR SHOW & RIB FEST 🎪🍖

Ribs, sunshine, and SO many new heroes suited up in fresh gear.

Let’s start with our tech icon of the day, a big brindle beauty rocking the WINDOWS 95 collar like he personally invented the startup chime 💻🔊 We are NOT okay with how perfectly this collar fits his whole “I might crash unexpectedly but you’ll love me anyway” energy.

Then there’s the golden retriever of good decisions, who took one look at our collar wall and said “yes to ALL of it” walking away in BOTH the Bloodline collar AND a Scooby-Doo collar because honestly, why pick just one when you’re clearly the main character of two different franchises 🐕🕵️‍♂️🩸

A sweet little gray pup also joined the Hero roster in a delicate floral collar, looking like she walked straight out of a cottagecore fever dream 🌸

And OF COURSE our mascot struck again. All weekend long, dog after dog did a double take at that stuffed dog just sitting there in his flag bandana, completely convinced he was real. Sniffing him. Staring him down. Refusing to accept the truth. At this point we think he might actually BE magic 🧸✨

Huge thank you to every family who stopped by, tried on gear, and let their pups interrogate our mascot for the hundredth time this season. Y’all made this rib fest one for the books.

🐾🎉 PART 2: BARK IN THE BORO: THE REST OF THE CREW 🎉🐾
Round two of Bark in the Boro because there was WAY too much good stuff to fit in one post.
First, can we talk about Cecil? Cecil sat there like a total professional modeling our Costco-parody collar and honestly gave us better content than half our photoshoots 📦🐕 Someone give this dog a modeling contract.
Then we've got a scruffy white cutie who walked away with a Jurassic Park collar and we are HERE for a dinosaur-adjacent good boy living his best prehistoric life 🦕
And be still our hearts, THREE best friends piled into one stroller, all matching in their new collars, looking like the world's most photogenic carpool 🚗🐾🐾🐾 If that's not peak Hero energy we don't know what is.
Our mascot struck AGAIN! This time on an actual police officer. He walked right up, gave our stuffed pup a full pet and a once over like he was assessing a suspect, fully convinced he was real 👮‍♂️🧸 Once he realized the truth, he made it up to us by bringing his ACTUAL K9 partner by to say hi. A stuffed dog fooled a cop and then a real police dog showed up to save the day. You truly cannot make this up.
So many more good boys and girls stopped by all weekend: tiny pups riding in style on their humans' shoulders, big fluffy floofs soaking up the attention, everyone just having the best time in the sun. This town shows UP for its dogs and we are so grateful to be part of it.

🐾✨ BARK IN THE BORO: GOLDEN HOUR EDITION ✨🐾

If you were downtown this weekend and saw a WALL of golden fur rounding the corner, that wasn’t a mirage, that was the Golden Retriever meetup and parade, and we are still recovering from the sheer volume of good boys and girls in one place.

We’re talking goldens EVERYWHERE. Matching floral bandanas on a mama and mini golden duo trotting side by side like they coordinated outfits on purpose 🌸🐕 A golden in a full purple tutu and bandana looking like she was ready to walk a runway, not a sidewalk. Another rocking his “Senior Golden” bandana with the kind of dignity only a distinguished gray muzzle can pull off. And SO many goldens just casually sniffing, tongues out, tails going, absolutely thriving in their moment of Golden Hour glory.

The parade itself was a fever dream of blonde fur and wagging tails as far as the eye could see: goldens, goldens, and more goldens, all cruising down Main Street together like it was their own personal catwalk 🚶‍♀️🐕🐕🐕

Huge thank you to every golden family who stopped by our booth before or after the parade to grab a new bandana or collar. Y’all know how to make an entrance.

🎪🐾 MURRYSVILLE FARMERS MARKET ARTISAN DAYS 🐾🎪

We are calling this “The Weekend We Did FOUR Events” and buckle up because Round 1 did NOT disappoint.

Let’s start with our new favorite menace: a golden lab puppy who took one look at the treat table NEXT DOOR, decided that was HIS table now, and just full-on climbed it like Simba on Pride Rock 🐕🧗 No shame. No apologies. Just a puppy living his best life reaching for freeze-dried chicken that was not his. He came over to say hi afterward like nothing happened, tried on a collar, and left as a certified Hero. Iconic behavior from start to finish.

Then there’s our sweet senior hero of the day, got fitted with a Mario Bros bandana AND matching collar and wore it like he’d been training for this his whole life 🍄👑 That gray muzzle plus a Mario print? We are OBSESSED. Age is just a number when you’re this stylish.

Of course, our mascot struck again! A black and tan hound absolutely could NOT figure out what was going on with that stuffed dog in the flag bandana. Sniffed him. Stared him down. Still hasn’t blinked. He’s never going to solve this mystery and honestly neither will we 🧸🕵️

And the real magic of these markets? Watching dogs make brand new best friends in real time; nose boops, ear sniffs, one very patient golden mix getting thoroughly inspected by a new pal, tails going a mile a minute. This is what it’s all about 🐾💛

Oh and I also met a frog.
