Dogs Without Borders is a 501c3 non-profit, small dog rescue that saves homeless & abandoned dogs from high-kill shelters in the Los Angeles area, and find them permanent and loving homes. We require an adoption application and a home-check. Our adoption fees are listed on our website. All dogs are spayed/ neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped prior to adoption, and come with a DWB ID tag.

SOS‼️ Lil Richie needs a new foster needed by 10/29.. please help us spread the word 🙏

Lil Richie is a sweet, playful cuddle bug 😍. He was red-listed and rescued the day he was scheduled to be euthanized. We're elated he is getting a 2nd chance!

Lil Richie is shy meeting new people and appreciates a slow and kind approach. He likes the company of other dogs and seems to love cuddly big dogs. He has great potty habits and has moderate separation anxiety, but is getting used to the routine of being crated for 3-4 hours (will whine when left, sometimes a little barking, but mostly whining).

Lil Richie sleeps quietly at night - he likes to sleep on the couch, cuddled up in a blanket.

Henry is looking for his fur-ever home! ❣️

Henry is an adorable pup who we think will mature into the perfect family dog for the right home. He sleeps through the night in his crate in a separate room without a peep, but during the day, he struggles to be in his crate or to be left alone.

Henry does pretty well on his walks, but needs some more work on good leash manners. He isn’t reactive to other dogs or humans, though he does need to be carefully watched on his walks because he likes to eat things he finds along the way. At home, he is an excellent playmate with our other dogs. He will happily chew a bone or toy.

Henry is very smart, and with training, he is going to be a very well-behaved pooch. He really is a special spirit; he has never growled or shown us even a moment of aggression. He has a lot of love to give, with kisses and cuddles galore. He would do best in an active home or a home with another playful dog!

Urgent foster needed post for new rescue Monroe 🙏

Monroe was left ALONE in her apartment building after her parents moved away and decided to leave her behind. 🥺🥺 She was dropped off at the shelter by neighbors, and we saw her adorable face and had to rescue her.

We are looking for a foster who can pick her up from our Woodland Hills office. She is so sweet and will need a foster who can take her to our vet in Highland Park to get spayed. Please reach out if you can help!

Meet Pepper, a sweet 6-year-old, 8-pound girl who is actively searching for her forever love!

She can be shy at first so we are looking for an adult only home that can give her a couple days to warm up.

Pepper is a quiet soul who is gently adjusting to her new life. She was surrendered to the shelter after biting a child, so she needs an adult-only home that is patient and understanding.

Since leaving the shelter, she has blossomed, learning basic dog skills and soaking up attention from all humans. She absolutely adores human companionship, long naps, car rides, and love. You can see her loving heart just waiting to fully trust the world again.

If you can offer a patient, calm home and are ready for a loyal little lady who will shower you with love, Pepper needs you!

Sweet as a peach, Georgia is looking for her forever home!

We have tried making reels, posting stories, and posting on the Nextdoor app. Still no luck for this beautiful spaniel mix.

We will not give up on Georgia, and we will keep posting her because she deserves to be loved. 💜💜

Georgia is looking for an adult-only household and prefers to live in a place with a yard, as she can sometimes become nervous while walking in busy neighborhoods. She does take about a week or two to settle in, so we are looking for someone who can give her time and space to open up. 💞

She would love a calm household with not a lot of visitors coming in and out, as she gets nervous around strangers. She would love to be the only animal in the house and would love someone who works from home or someone who is retired and looking for a companion. Once she settles in, she is really the sweetest girl and loves belly rubs. 🧡 (With the right introduction, we think she would be ok with another calm dog that can give her space)

She takes Thyroid medication daily, and we are looking for a forever home that can continue this for her!

Rosarita needs time and patience to decompress and learn what it’s like to be loved. She will follow you around the house and play with toys; however, she won’t let you get close enough to pet her. 🥹

Couscous is a super sweet, affectionate girl who wants nothing more than to be close to her human all day long. While she may be shy at first, once she feels safe, her gentle, loving personality shines through—she’ll roll over for belly rubs and wag her tail nonstop when she hears a treat bag crinkle! 💜🐶

She’s incredibly treat-motivated and lives for fetch with her favorite squeaky plush toys. Her silly side comes out when she’s excited—she often trips over her own feet in the cutest way. At night, she sleeps peacefully in her own bed, and as long as she’s taken outside after naps, she rarely has accidents. She’s starting to communicate her needs by whining and gently scratching your arm when she needs to go potty. Once she gets comfortable she loves to sniff and explore the neighborhood! She’s still timid around strangers but she doesn’t bark, she will simply walk the other way.

She does have a bite history in her past, so she really needs an adult only home. Couscous is ok with other calm dogs that can coexist with her and respect her space. She has come such a long way and she deserves a forever home! 🏡🏡

🆘 Urgent foster needed for Roger this week!! Roger’s foster leaves town this Friday and he needs a new foster home asap! 🆘

Roger is a 3 year old male terrier mix, he’s great with adults and kids, does occasionally lunge and bark at men on the street. He is 100% house-trained and doesn’t mark in the house. He is fairly active and likes to go on at least one medium/long walk per day.

Roger knows “sit” (but you have to say “down”) and “stay,” and picked them up very quickly! He's eager to please and very loving.

Roger does need some further leash and crate training and but overall is an easy going loveable and playful guy!

Tuxedo is a black and white Chihuahua mix that weighs around 12 lbs and is the biggest love bug. He has a silly little personality and loves to cuddle. He can be shy at first with people but warms up quickly and wants to sit in their lap.

Tuxedo loves dogs but wants to be the Alpha. Despite that, he loves playing so once he gets use to his dog friend, he loves to play and be near them. He’s super curious in the house, on walks, and on hikes. 🐾 🐕‍🦺

Tuxedo house trained when kept on a routine. He is very smart and is learning to sit, stay, and come. He does need some training on his leash but is getting better with each walk.

Tuxedo would do best in a home with another playful dog! He is high energy so looking for an active forever home or a buddy for him to play with!

Our Story

We are a non-profit, Los Angeles Dog Rescue pulling small breeds from local shelters and working with international rescuers to re-home at-risk dogs from overseas.

We screen potential applicants to make sure the dog is right fit for their home. We require an adoption application and a home-check. Our adoption fees for adult dogs are $325 (puppies 6mo-1year are $350. Puppies under 6 months are $425). All dogs are spayed/ neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped prior to adoption, and come with a DWB ID tag.
