Dogs Without Borders is a 501c3 non-profit, small dog rescue that saves homeless & abandoned dogs from high-kill shelters in the Los Angeles area, and find them permanent and loving homes. We require an adoption application and a home-check. Our adoption fees are listed on our website. All dogs are spayed/ neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped prior to adoption, and come with a DWB ID tag.

🏡 🐾 Lola is looking for her forever
home 🏡🐾

Lola is a sweet, and quiet. She is the ultimate “shadow dog”—she absolutely loves to follow her human around from room to room. Lola isn’t demanding or needy, she is perfectly content just being in your presence, happily curled up nearby while you go about your day.

Lola is quite shy and timid when meeting new people or entering unfamiliar places. Because of this, she needs a patient adopter who will let her decompress at her own pace. Don’t let her initial shyness fool you! Once Lola gets used to you and realizes she is safe, her shell completely melts away. She transforms into a deeply affectionate, devoted, and loving companion. She is also food Motivated and has a wonderfully healthy appetite! This is great news for her future family because she is highly motivated by tasty treats, which makes bonding and training a lot of fun.

Lola is still working on her house manners and will need an adopter willing to give her additional guidance with her potty training. Consistent routines and positive reinforcement will help her master this in no time. Lola currently coexists with other dogs and is okay sharing a household from a distance, but she is sometimes very protective of her personal bubble. If another dog gets too close, she will show them signs to say “please give me space.”

🚨 Urgent: Foster Needed for Milo! 🚨

We need your help! If we can find a foster for Milo today, then it will open up a spot at our office for Larry Jr. That would mean Larry doesn’t have to be stuck in boarding! If you can’t foster Larry can you foster Milo?!

Meet Milo.

We pulled this sweet, gentle boy from the East Valley Shelter last week and we still have no foster offers.

At just 2 years old and 13 lbs, he is a pint-sized package of pure sweetness, but the noisy shelter was a lot for him—he is shy and needs a quiet space to decompress.

Milo is looking for a calm, adult-only foster home where he can finally relax, realize he’s safe, and let his true personality shine. He is crate trained seems to by shy around the other dogs at the office. He would do well as the only dog or with a calm dog that doesn’t bother him too much. He seems to do fine with cat and is a little head shy at first. Once you open a bag of treats, he will be your new best friend.

Fostering is completely FREE! We provide all supplies. You just provide the love and a quiet corner.

Milo is neutered, vaccinated, and ready for pickup TODAY from our Woodland Hills office.

Seymour is a 10-year-old, 22-pound Schnauzer mix who suddenly finds himself looking for a fresh start.

Sadly, his family can no longer care for him, and they reached out to our rescue to help find him a safe place to land. 🥹

This handsome senior is the ultimate shadow—he absolutely loves to be by your side and is looking for a foster parent who is home often to keep him company. Seymour has so much love to give, but he’s looking to be the king of his castle: he would do best as the only dog and prefers no young kids! He is already fixed and vaccinated.

Fostering is 100% FREE, and we provide all the food and supplies you need. We just need you to provide the open heart and a cozy spot on the couch.

🥜✨ Meet Peanut — a little dog with a whole lot of love to give! ✨🥜

At 5 years old, this small sweetheart is ready for a fresh start and a family to call her own. :heart: Peanut clearly came from a home where she was neglected and abused. Her nails were so long, one had grown into her back paw and become infected, and she was covered in urine and dirt. She would cower at any sound and if anyone approached her.

She's come a long way already, and of course her foster is showering her with TLC, so she’s had quite the glow-up! 🛁✂️ Now she’s looking and feeling so much better, and her next transformation is learning what it means to be a beloved family member.

Peanut is still figuring out the basics of life in a loving home, and she’ll need someone who can offer patience, kindness, and encouragement as she learns. Every day is a chance for her to discover that the world can be a safe, happy place filled with soft beds, gentle hands, cozy cuddles, and people who will never give up on her 🏡💕

This little girl deserves more than a makeover. She deserves a forever home where she can keep blossoming, feel secure, and finally know what it’s like to be cherished. Peanut has some weakness in her hind knees, but she's made so much progress gaining weight and strength in just a few short weeks in foster care. Peanut loves to be pet, adored, go on leash walks, and her whole body wags when she sees you. She is learning to potty outside. She loves people and other small dogs. Once you have her trust, she will be your shadow and best friend for life.
