Cat Pals, Inc

Cat Pals, Inc CatPals has been in operation since 1994. Our TNR program in the Park is OVER. We need to save the final abandoned cats before they are trapped.

We need Funds to make farm safe! If you see anyone leaving an animal please contact us, get the tag We work with trappers in East Hollywood that we fund through grants to spay neuter community cats. We have exhausted this years grant (only allowed every other year!) But we will still try to help in our area. Donations are appreciated as we also have a catio full of cats to feed and maintain.

The sky is falling for real. We must remove all the cats from the park AGAIN. we do not have room for all of them. Our large house is full of termites and we just rebuilt the smaller side and isolation area. PLEASE
WE need help. About 29 cats need a place to go, very few adoptable, so sanctuary, catio, barn cats. We Also need trapping and vetting help. The county allows NO TNR in parks, so this is life or death. Please help us save them one last time. This friendly fellow gets vetted next Friday, need a place for him... depending on testing etc. PLEASE CONSIDER DONATING FOR VETTING, please consider taking some cats. More to come

Happy Mothers Day to all the community cat caregivers, the people that care enough to help us help them, to the rescues to the adopters to the fosters and just everyone that makes an animals life just a bit better!

HELP We need so much HELP! The cats are being evicted from a Broward County Park. 10 years ago we took over 100 out of there, we thought we had some stragglers (all fixed and managed them well on ONE colony on ONE Street, and one ladies private property). She went over the bridge and we had to take her cats to the catio she Lent us, but we have no other places to take cats. We can take in about half. UGENTLY seeking places for cats to go, following moving cat protocols. Also seeking Feral to Friendly Felines ideas for several that are beautiful and touchable and even a few holdables.

Our Catio fell in from termites. Someone funded a rebuild but the amount of space we have now, or for how long, is limited so this will be our last rescue and as they go, so will we. The rebuild was the last of our funding.

Looking for sanctuary, catio and farm possibilities. Donations and trappers with appts. I was in my late 30's early 40's and now I'm headed to 73; my health and finances are gone. I personally am asking for help with fixing and getting these cats out. I am also aware of a colony in Hollywood near Dixie that needs fixed and someone to look at the eyes of several cats, I believe someone is harming them.

For now please put your organization skills to use and help me figure this out. I believe it is less than 40 cats; I KNOW it is a death sentence to leave them there. Can anybody please guide me to help?

TRAP, NEUTER, RETURN seems like simple, humane common sense that everyone should support. However, in many areas, the opposite is true. Instead of helping those involved, communities are punishing them. Across the country, including places like Arkansas and Polk County, Florida, caregivers face feeding bans, restrictions aimed at trappers, and vague “nuisance” laws that can be used against anyone trying to help. These policies do not reduce cat populations. They make TNR more difficult, push caregivers into hiding, and lead to the killing of the most visible cats, including friendly community cats, and lost pets.

Killing has never solved this problem. It didn’t work decades ago, and it still doesn’t work now.

Research shows that harmful restrictions are widespread. Many counties and municipalities have made feeding illegal or established barriers that make humane management nearly impossible. Since most cat-related laws are set at the local level, rules vary from one area to the next. This creates confusion for those trying to stabilize colonies and often contradicts established best practices.

This is why statewide TNR protection laws are urgently needed. TNR is the only method supported by evidence. It is proven to stabilize colonies, reduce shelter intake, and prevent suffering. Feeding bans do not decrease populations; they only starve cats and force caregivers into hiding. Licensing requirements and punitive laws do not tackle the main issue; they target the people making a real difference. States need to step in and create clear, humane standards.

Statewide protections should acknowledge TNR as the accepted standard of care. They should protect caregivers from punishment, eliminate feeding bans and restrictive local laws, and ensure humane population management is possible everywhere. These measures should not be optional or based on ZIP codes. They should be guaranteed.

Community cats should not be treated like criminals for existing. Caregivers should not be threatened for their efforts. Every state should ensure that TNR can be practiced safely, legally, and without fear because it is the only method that works and the only one that treats both cats and caregivers with the respect they deserve.
