Just wanted to give a shout out to my big brother for his help today! We got this area of the snake proof fence done this afternoon. We both burn the candle at both ends pretty regularly so I'm grateful for his help and his time. We don't see each other much so it's always nice when he's around. I believe this to be the main entry point so I'm glad we got it blocked. We plan on getting the next several sections done next weekend with the help of some machinery and I'm hoping we can knock out the rest in its entirety very soon. We could still use donations for this project if anyone is willing and able to help! Oh, and I stumbled upon my first snake of the year just outside the dogs play yard yesterday while raking leaves! Thankfully it was a harmless ringneck!

Afternoon, everyone! I just wanted to jump on for a second and share some information about a few things. I know I don't post allot these days but that is mainly due to very very poor service. My cellular connection is worse than dial up, for those of you who remember how bad that was! I had every intention of starting the snake proof fencing project last Monday, however, I ended up needing to take 10 year old Nipsy (middle cat in pic) to the vet instead. He was acting funny for a few days before and turns out, he has a tumor in the back of his mouth that is inoperable. We are trying steroids and antibiotics and I need to take him back tomorrow to see if they are helping or if I need to say goodbye. I feel like he's doing much better but I'm not a vet so we will see tomorrow when he's seen. Please keep him in your thoughts. He's been getting lots of extras this week (canned kitten food with jarred baby food and lots of extra love too).

As far as the fence goes, a trench has to be dug and leaves finished being cleared before I can begin the actual installation but I'm working on it as well as working on cleanup still from the ice storm we had that cost several trees and lots of debris. Both will be a long, ongoing process but I'll be working on both every chance i get and I hope to find some help soon and get them both knocked out sooner than later. The animals immediate needs will always come first to everything else. They are a full time job by themselves! 🤣

Huge thank you to those of you who have donated to snake proof fencing! I'm so very grateful to you. I've ordered and received half of what I need so I can get started on installing it and I'll order more as I have the extra funds or receive donations for it. I plan on starting the install Monday and focusing on the most easily parts of the fence first. I'll post some pictures early next week! Thank you again!
