Dear Gracie, today we would like to express our gratitude for the exceptional companionship you offered your family. We wanted to let you know that you not only left a lasting impression with them, but with us too. We know that it was time for you to go, but that doesn't change the emptiness felt by your loss. Sometimes, the loss of a pet and the grief that follows isn't talked about enough. We think that your dad put it into words perfectly. For those of us that never got the pleasure to meet you, it feels like we have, reading his words. We hope that all families get to experience the kind of love and companionship that you provided, thank you for being you. šŸ’›

Hey guys, meet Zeph! He’s a 3 year old male American Bulldog. He was outside playing with his brother, when he came inside his mom noticed blood pouring from his ear!

Mom brought him in to see us but unfortunately Zeph wasn’t very excited to meet us. To reduce his anxiety and appropriately evaluate his wound we gave him some sedation medication.

Dr. Zheng was then able to clean his wound while Zeph rested comfortably. We were able to stop the bleeding, give him pain meds and antibiotics and he was good to go!

Help us wish Zeph a speedy recovery! ā¤ļøā€šŸ©¹

Happy Friday the 13th!

On Friday the 13th (and Halloween)ļæ¼ the negative stereotype around black cats and they’re bringing ā€œbad luckā€ only intensifies.

Unfortunately, this baseless negative association with bad luck can mean that black cats are often overlooked for adoption and have a lower chance of being adopted than other cats.

Put all superstitions aside and adopt a black cat on Friday the 13th. We think it will be a double dose of good luck!

December is National Cat Lovers Month!

Cats are one of the most popular pets for many reasons – not only are they quiet, independent and usually require less maintenance than other pets, but they are also great companions.

Cats can sense when you need comfort and are proven to reduce anxiety and stress levels. People form deep, intimate bonds with these sleek creatures who provide a lifetime of love and affection.

Use this month to shower your pet cats with love and show them your appreciation!

Please share with us pictures of your feline friends in the comments!

Join us as we celebrate the International Day of Veterinary Medicine! This is a day to recognize the amazing efforts of veterinary professionals across the globe in helping to protect the health of humans and animals.

Today, we’re thanking veterinary professionals for being the voice of their patients who can’t tell us where it hurts, sharing our joy when our pets recover, and sharing our grief when our pets cross the rainbow bridge.

Thank you for all that you do!

Happy Thanksgiving! Let’s talk pet safety!

Overindulging in the family feast can be unhealthy for humans, and even worse for pets. Fatty foods are hard for animals to digest.

Poultry bones can damage your pet’s digestive tract. And holiday sweets can contain ingredients that are poisonous to pets.

KEEP THE FEAST ON THE TABLE

Plain, boneless, and skinless turkey is generally safe for pets in small portions, but other table scraps—including gravy, sauces, dressing, and meat or poultry fat or skin—can be hard for pets to digest, and sometimes even a small amount can cause pancreatitis.

The bones themselves can cause choking or intestinal blockage.

Plus, many foods that are healthy for people are poisonous to pets, including onions, raisins, and grapes.

If you want to share a Thanksgiving treat with your pet, make or buy a treat made just for them!
