🌽🐓 Calling All Benton County Farmers Market Friends! 🥕🌻

This Wednesday from 8:00–11:30 AM, the Benton County Farmers Market is asking for a little help from our amazing community. We're in need of cedar shavings (used for animal bedding), and we’re hoping you can bring some by!

Our own Louanne from Abandoned to Adored will be at the market and will gladly take the shavings back with her.

🪵 Shavings can be purchased at Tractor Supply—easy to grab on your way to the market!

🌟 Volunteer Spotlight + A Village That Shows Up 🌟

Every week, we’re going to highlight some of the superstar volunteers and supporters who make our mission possible — and this week, we’ve got some incredible people to shout out.

This past week brought tough conversations and even tougher realities. As our team met to prioritize needs, we faced a heartbreaking truth:
We’re over six figures in debt to several vets, and it’s getting harder and harder to hold on. Our love for these animals is unwavering — but we’re dangerously close to that point no one wants to talk about. What happens to our 200+ dogs if we can’t keep going?

Amid all this stress, the topic of cedar shavings came up. Pulling dogs out of the mud is important — but so is food, and critical vet care is life or death.
We were scared to ask.
But you showed up. 💛

We’re almost to our goal, and we want to thank everyone who donated, shared, commented, or simply reminded us that we’re not alone. Every small act has added up to real change for these dogs — and we feel it.

💥 Judy Basteri – Thank you for gifting us a much-needed scale for our dogs! Accurate weights aren’t just helpful — they’re vital. It affects whether a dog can be adopted based on housing restrictions, and it ensures we can medicate them properly. We’ve been struggling without this, and your $120 gift just became a lifeline. You’re helping us keep dogs healthy — and helping them find forever homes. 🐶❤️

As we head into the weekend, we’re hopeful — because you have reminded us there’s still light, still compassion, still a community willing to fight for these lives. This work is heavy. It drains us. But seeing muddy dogs sleep on dry bedding for the first time in a while? It lifted our spirits.

💛 From Muddy Paws to Cozy Beds – We’re Almost There! 💛

Thanks to your incredible kindness, we’ve received 172 out of the 200 bags of shavings we need to keep our outdoor pups clean, dry, and comfortable — and we’re so close to the finish line!

Your generosity has truly blown us away. Every bag dropped off and every dollar donated has made a real, tangible difference. Our team is beyond grateful, and our dogs are already resting easier because of you. 🐾

A huge shoutout to Grace Bonds, who rolled in yesterday with 10 more bags of shavings AND a big ol’ box of bones! You didn’t just bring supplies — you brought smiles, wagging tails, and a few lucky pups out of the mud and into dry, happy comfort. And honestly… who doesn’t love a surprise treat?
