🐾 December is Cat Lovers Month, a purrfect time to highlight the unique needs of our feline companions. From nutrition to behavior, cats have specific requirements for optimal health. Here are some things to watch for:
Dental Disease — Cats frequently suffer from gum disease, tooth decay, and oral infections. Symptoms include bad breath, drooling, difficulty eating, and pawing at the mouth.
Obesity — Overweight cats are at risk for diabetes, arthritis, heart disease, and a shorter lifespan. Weight gain often results from overeating and lack of exercise.
Kidney Disease — Chronic kidney disease is common in older cats, leading to increased thirst, frequent urination, weight loss, and poor coat condition.
