Three sets of new dogs for drop-ins today. I think that might be a new record!

Starting with the biggest members of today's welcome committee...

🐾 Oliver & Olivia 🐾

These two beautiful Goldens are as sweet as can be. From the moment I met them, they were all tail wags, happy smiles, and golden retriever charm. Absolute sweethearts.

🐾 Rocky & Schuyler 🐾

Next up are these adorable Cavapoos!

Rocky may look like a tough guy, but don't let him fool you. After dinner today, he fell asleep in my arms like a little baby, laying on his back without a care in the world. My heart didn't stand a chance.

And then there's Schuyler (Skyler)... powered by what I can only assume is an industrial-strength battery. This girl is always ready for the next adventure, the next toy, or the next game. She keeps life interesting!

🐾 Bentlee & Bruiser 🐾

And last but certainly not least, the two puggest pugs I know.

Bruiser is the distinguished old gentleman of the group. A little bit of a curmudgeon, a little bit of a grump, but also incredibly sweet. He enjoys pets and affection... on his terms, of course.

Then we have Bentlee. This little guy has one of the biggest cases of FOMO I've ever seen. If there's love, attention, treats, cuddles, or anything exciting happening, Bentlee wants to be right in the middle of it. If you know, you know.

I am so excited to spend time with all six of these amazing pups. Days like today remind me just how lucky I am to do what I do. ❤️🐾

Please help me welcome my newest little buddies, Rocky and Schuyler! 🐾❤️

These two adorable Cavapoos have already completely stolen my heart, and we still have a whole week of adventures ahead of us!

Miss Schuyler is all about her toys and could play fetch for hours if you'd let her. 🎾 Meanwhile, Rocky has made it very clear that his favorite hobby is receiving love, cuddles, attention, and then a little more love just to be safe. 🥰

I have a feeling this week is going to be filled with wagging tails, flying toys, belly rubs, and lots of laughter. I can't wait to spend more time with these sweet faces and make some wonderful memories together.

Rhody

Let's talk about Rhody.
Or as I like to call her...
Miss Velcro.
If you've ever wondered what it would be like to have a dog permanently attached to your body, I can answer that question for you.
It's Rhody.
This sweet girl has absolutely no concept of personal space. None. Zero. Not even a little bit.
The second I sit down on the couch, she has to be touching me. Not near me. Not beside me.
Touching me.
We even have assigned seats at this point. I don't know when it became official, but apparently it did. I sit down, and Rhody immediately takes her position on my left side like she's reporting for duty.
And heaven help anyone who tries to interfere with the arrangement.
Especially her brother.
The amount of side-eye and grumbling this dog gives when her brother gets too close is honestly impressive. She'll let out these little growls that basically translate to:
"Excuse me, sir. That is MY human. Please respect the seating chart."
Meanwhile, I'm over here trying to explain that there is plenty of room for everyone.
Rhody disagrees.
Strongly.
She doesn't just want attention. She requires physical contact at all times. A paw on my arm. A head on my lap. Leaning against me. Sitting on my foot. Sometimes all of the above.
If I move, she moves.
If I get up, she follows.
If I sit back down, she's already claiming her spot before I've even found mine.
And honestly?
I wouldn't have it any other way.
Because behind all of that clinginess is one of the sweetest, most loving, biggest-hearted Muppets I've ever met.
So here's to Rhody.
The Queen of Velcro.
The Guardian of the Left Side of the Couch.
The Enforcer of the Seating Chart.
And quite possibly the cutest Muppet I know.

🐾 What Exactly Does a Pet Nanny Do? 🐾

I get asked this question a lot.
Most people assume I show up, feed a dog, let them outside, and head home.

The reality is that what I do is so much more than that.
When families hire me, they're trusting me with some of the most important things in their lives—their pets and their homes. That's a responsibility I don't take lightly.

Of course, I care for dogs and cats, but I've also worked with chickens, roosters, ducks, goats, horses, rabbits, farm animals, birds, reptiles, and plenty of other furry, feathered, and scaly friends over the years.
Every pet is different, and every family has different needs.

While you're away, I can:

🐾 Administer medications when needed
🐾 Walk dogs and provide exercise

Welcome to the Mary E. Poppins Pack, Maya, Piper & Buddy! 🐾
I'm having so much fun getting to know these three and all of their very different personalities!
First, there's Maya. Her life mission appears to be collecting as many pets as possible. If I stop petting her for even a second, she looks at me like I've made a terrible mistake. I'm pretty sure she'd be perfectly happy if I scratched her ears until my arm fell off.
Then we have Piper. She took a little time to warm up to me, and I completely respected that. But this morning she's been hanging out with me, checking in, and showing me that I'm slowly earning her trust. Those friendships are always extra special.
And finally, there's Buddy. Buddy's love language is personal space. While Maya wants all the attention and Piper is cautiously becoming my friend, Buddy has made it very clear that his preferred arrangement is that I admire him from a respectful distance. And honestly? I can appreciate that.
They are all wonderful dogs, and I am really enjoying learning what makes each of them unique. That's one of my favorite parts of pet sitting—every pet has their own personality, their own quirks, and their own way of saying, "Welcome to my house."
I'm looking forward to spending more time with this adorable crew! ❤️🐾

There’s something really special about Jilly Bean. I’ve only known her for a short time, but this little girl completely stole a piece of my heart. She is one of those dogs that is just pure love. The kind that gives you a toothache because she’s so sweet. She loves her cuddles, and every morning she gets so excited to see me when we wake up. We open the blinds together and let the day in, and it became one of my favorite little routines with her. She bounces from couch to couch and just gives me the most loving look.( Like the one in the picture below)

Whoever gets this girl is going to have so much love added to their life. She has the biggest heart and so much love to give.

Last weekend was hard for me. I brought her to meet a potential family, and they didn’t show up. Not once… but two days in a row and another time the week before. Maybe it hit me differently because I’m adopted, I don’t know. But seeing her sitting there waiting absolutely broke my heart. Maybe I imagined it, but she just seemed a little different after. A little quieter. And all I could do was tell her that her people are out there. That she is going to find the family that was made specifically for her — the kind that loves her with their whole heart, just as fiercely as she would love them.

I’m already going to miss you, Jilly Bean. (Aka Dobby, Little Beans) I truly hope this family is the one. And selfishly, I hope I still get to see your sweet face sometimes.

Moments like this remind me that as much as my heart wants to foster one day when I have my own place… I don’t know if I could do it. Because even when you know they’re going somewhere wonderful, loving them and letting them go still hurts. Over and over again.

Fingers crossed this is your happy ending, sweet girl. You deserve the whole world. 💚
