Large Animal Rescue Large Animal Rescue Company teaches various technical animal rescue technices to students from multiple disciplines .

TLAR is the blending of technical skills applied with an understanding of prey animal behavior and characteristics to resolve an incident involving a trapped or incapacitated animal. As a rescue it is dynamic and inherently dangerous. It should only be attempted by individuals and agencies who have sought professional training.

This horse fell into a swimming pool near Auburn, WA. The temperature was below freezing and the horse was in the water for a couple of hours. Once emergency personnel got the horse out it was hypothermic but luckily the horse was able to stand on its own.

The veterinarian was treating the horse in a warm stall when firefighters left the scene.
