As the day dwindles down on the North Dakota prairie, we soak in the view of wide skies, steady horses, and loyal bird dogs.

With just one more day left to work dogs for perfection kennel south, this summer camp has been an unforgettable experience—full of learning, handling, and watching the dogs do what they love most: finding birds.

Grateful for the opportunity, the hard work, and the memories made in the field. This truly has been a summer camp to remember.

🌻 It’s hard to believe we’ve already been in North Dakota for a week. The days are long, the training is steady, and the dogs are finding birds in the wide-open beauty of the rolling plains. There’s nothing quite like watching them work against this backdrop—it’s what makes the miles and hours all worth it.

We’ve got one more week here to keep working hard, and then it’s back home—hitting the ground running and opening up new client spots at the beginning of September.

There’s something special about training bird dogs. It’s not just about the birds or the hunt—it’s about the bond, the discipline, and the passion that fuels every early morning and every long day in the field up here.

North Dakota gives us the incredible opportunity to step into wide-open spaces, where the air is crisp and the land stretches on forever. Out there, the dogs get the chance to hunt birds of all kinds, sharpening their instincts and growing into the hunters they were born to be.

The days can be long. The work can be hard. But when you love what you do, and you’re driven by dedication, you’d choose to do it over and over again. Every mile in the saddle, every whistle in the wind, every bird flushed from the grass—it all weaves into a story of hard work paying off.

This picture captures it perfectly: the beauty of the land, the strength of our horses, and the reminder that true passion doesn’t fade—it only grows stronger with each season. 🌻

Exciting Day Ahead: PK South Heads to North Dakota for Summer Camp!

Today marks the beginning of an exciting journey as PK South sets off to North Dakota for summer camp! We have a long 16 hour drive ahead of us! The next two weeks are sure to fly by. We can't wait to reunite with Perfection Kennel and start working with the dogs. Providing them with exposure to different kinds of birds and environment is essential for both hunting and field trialing. We'll keep everyone updated over the next two weeks on our summer camp adventures!

We are heading to Summer Camp and meeting up with Perfection Kennel in a couple days and will be back at the end of August! With that being said we will have openings when we get back!
