☀️ HOT weather is here — and our dogs feel it too.

Whether you’re training, running, or just spending time outside, don’t forget the basics:

• Plenty of cool water
• Frequent breaks in the shade
• Avoid the hottest part of the day
• Watch for overheating or heat stress
• Cool-down time after runs or training

These dogs will give you everything they’ve got, even when it’s too hot. It’s our job to know when enough is enough. A healthy dog is a better dog — and keeping them safe in this heat matters. 🐾💧

What a weekend at the Sunflower GSP Club field trial in Howard, Kansas! 🌻🐾

Huge thank you to the judges and everyone who worked hard to put on such a great trial—we appreciate all that goes into making these events run so smoothly.

It was great to see everyone out there, and every dog did an excellent job!

Had a great time at the GSPCOK trial in Ponca! We were fortunate to come away with a 1st place finish with Jake (Handler : Ryan Johnson Owners : Clay and Doreen Phelen ) and 3rd place finish with Athena (Handler / Owner : Ryan Johnson) in the OLGD stake.

Huge thank you to the judges for their time and attention, and to everyone who worked hard to put the trial together. The heat made it a tough one, but everything ran smoothly and that doesn’t go unnoticed.

Also a big thanks to Daren for scouting for us in the OGD stake, and to Blake Daniel for staying late and helping scout in the final stake—much appreciated.

Congratulations to all the dogs that placed!

Wildfires throughout the region continue, and our thoughts and prayers remain constantly with our community, neighbors, family and friends throughout the Great Plains.

The PK Team is holding these communities and farm lands so close to our hearts, minds and prayers. - and we ask that you do the same.

We are safe in Buffalo, but our team spent Tuesday preparing and watching. We worked diligently to keep all kennel dogs safe, and minimize smoke exposure.
