Peanut the 28 year old Haflinger former Amish horse one month after he came to me. His eye ulcer has cleared up, he's gained a lot of weight and has enough energy to actually trott now. He's doing great. Needs senior grain, beet pulp, Timothy hay pellets, dewormer. He has had his teeth done and his hooves trimmed, had couple of baths, vet checked when his teeth were filed, he is unable to eat hay, only water soaked Timothy pellets, senior grain with beet pulp, vegetable oil, minerals, selenium supplement, and joint supplements daily. Update on 28 yr old Amish horse. This the condition of what's happening with his teeth. Not much there to float I think. He's getting
timothy hay pellets soaked in water, since when he tries to eat hay it falls out of his mouth, little horse grain with more beet pulp with selenium, minerals, arthritis supplements. Eats grass in my back yard, can eat long grass. Got a fifty lb bag of the pellets and half gone already. I'll try my best to help him, may loss him through the winter. Right now he's doing good, alert, walks without any issues. Looks like I'll have to cut my own food down to afford his feed, I can afford to lose some weight lol.

At Akwesasne Serenity Farm, I tried real hard not to take this 28 yr old horse from the Amish but I just had to. He's thin, needs teeth floated. I've dewormed him and put him in pasture so he can finally eat as much as he wants. It will be a hardship to care for him but like I said I just had to, can't help it. The picture really doesn't show how thin he really is. Forgot to mention he was bought by Amish when he was 9 yrs old, he was a show horse and pampered. He will now be pampered again until he dies.
