well good morning to all my facebook fans. Looking back on these forty years I can only see good things . In 1977 who could believe that the industry would grow into the business it is today. My father George sr. and my brothers Alexander George jr and James were their from day1. At that time the big foods were Alpo, Ken-L-Raion and Tender Vittles. While my father was a police officer he used to pass this little store called Hungry Dog and thought that this might be a good business to go into when he retired. My father was a tireless worker and he instilled this ethic in us. I have hopefully have passed on these values to my daughters Diana, Amanda and Laura. These girls are my joy. My wife Angela, also came from a very hard working family headed by her father, Aurelio. He became my second father and I valued his input. Getting back to my father. He was my best friend and I cherished all the time that I spent with him. As I write this now I am tearing up because I loved him so much. He made me the man I am today. His great tenet ws to always treat your customers as they are your family. I value my customers and I always try to be a person where they can come to to get an honest answer. Finally, let me talk about my brother George who is also celebrating his 40th year in the industry. He is the most giving person that I know. Whether it was working with the Make-A-Wish foundation or helping out with Al's Angels he always had time for the needy. He also helped me out when I was in deep despair and he resurrected my life. He put me in this lovely city of Hoboken and I can't be more grateful. Because of this I have finally found a place that appreciates me and I appreciate them. It is also a place that loves their pets as much as I love their pets. It is truly my dream job. I have never been more happy to show up to work in my whole life. Thanks to everyone who have I haven't mentioned, you will all have a special place in my heart. To my Family I know it has been a struggle sometime but we are stronger for this.I love you and all my customers.
