So so happy to announce that my best friend GiGi will be joining me as a pet-sitter!! It breaks my heart every time I have to decline a booking due to availability, especially with repeat clients who have already gone through the process of finding a reputable sitter they trust. For a while, I’ve been looking for a second sitter I can refer people to that can provide the same level of quality care and compassion that I bring to every booking. Well, GiGi has excitedly taken up that position! She is truly one of the kindest, most dedicated, and reliable people I’ve ever had the joy of meeting. With her wide array of experience with animals (puppies, kittens, birds, reptiles— you name it!) and the joy she radiates each time she interacts with a pet, I am more than happy to be referring my clients to her when I am not available☺️

Today my day was made when this pretty kitty approached me on the street and started rubbing against my leg! I went into the CVS around the corner to get them some food (the good stuff, of course), and came back and hung out with them while they ate. They then went back inside to a shop (which I assume was their home). Truly a wonderful morning!!

**I pet and interacted with this cat because it first approached me, so I deemed the situation safe. I would not suggest approaching random cats on the street unless you are 100% certain they are safe to interact with!

Like humans, dogs can have their own traumas too.

This is Luna, who was actually my very first client when I started pet-sitting. As a rescue, her past was truly tragic, resulting in her (understandably) taking a bit more time than other dogs to trust new people.

When I first house-sat her, she would not come out from under her owner’s bed, and mostly kept to herself. However, with compassion, patience, and plenty of treats, Luna finally warmed up to me.

When seeing her the other day, she gave me a mountain of kisses and would not stop smiling. It truly warms my heart to see how far she’s come.

Puppies, puppies, puppies!

I’m always so excited when I get a request for a puppy. They are so fun to be around and always have a way of brightening my day! One of my favorite parts of the job is watching them grow over time. As a once puppy-owner myself, I completely understand how they can feel more like children than pets☺️
