Is your pet properly identified?

Collars, ID tags, and microchips greatly increase the chances of a lost pet being returned home.

Helpful tips:
✔ Keep ID tags updated
✔ Ensure your pet’s microchip information is current
✔ Use secure collars or harnesses

If you’re unsure whether your pet’s microchip information is up to date, we can help check!

DRUM ROLL PLEASE:

We’re proud to welcome Dr. Keegan Taylor to our growing team 💙

Dr. Keegan and Eden Taylor are excited to become part of our community, and we’re so happy to welcome them both.

Keegan grew up in northern New Mexico and has always had a passion for the outdoors and working with animals. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from Colorado State University in 2019, completed his master’s in Animal Science at New Mexico State University in 2022, and just graduated with his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Texas Tech University School of Veterinary Medicine.

Eden was born in Amarillo, Texas, and moved to northern New Mexico in 2008. She graduated from New Mexico State University in 2022 with a degree in Agricultural Economics and Agricultural Business. She now works in the Business Office at Texas Tech School of Veterinary Medicine managing budgets for the Office of Clinical Programs.

Keegan and Eden first met in high school, later reconnected in college, and were married in May 2021. They share a deep appreciation for animals, agriculture, and the hard-working people who make up those communities. Outside of work, they love spending time outdoors hiking, backpacking, and exploring with their two dogs.

Both are passionate about veterinary medicine and are excited to return to New Mexico and join the Hobbs community. They look forward to meeting everyone, building relationships, and becoming part of the Double J family!

Teaching future veterinarians is a passion of ours at Double J Animal Hospital. This summer, we will have 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year vet students interning with us, along with 4th year students who are on clinical rotations.

This week, Tristin, who just finished his 1st year at TTU SVM, experienced castrating a horse and floating another horse's teeth. He is also learning a ton about small animal medicine.

Here's to a great summer, full of learning, teaching, and doing what is best for patients.

A little patience now — a lot of good coming soon. May 25th!
