🔥 Know the Signs — Heatstroke Is an Emergency! 🔥
Hot weather can be dangerous for our furry friends. Dogs can’t sweat like we do, which makes them more vulnerable to overheating.
⚠️ Watch for signs like:
• Excessive panting
• Drooling
• Weakness or collapse

If you suspect heatstroke, call us or head to the nearest emergency vet immediately—every second counts.

Hi my name is Meagan Gatlin. I am a 4th year veterinary student at Texas Tech University. I am from Liberty Hill, TX and received a bachelor’s degree in animal science from Texas A&M University. Welcome to Double J, Railey!

Hi! My name is Railey Rumohr, and I’m a 4th year veterinary student from Texas Tech School of Veterinary Medicine. I’m from the small rural town of Rio Vista, TX and I graduated with a Bachelors degree in Biology from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, OK.

I have known since I was a little girl that I wanted to be a veterinarian someday. I have a passion for rural mixed animal medicine, and my goal in life is always to provide high quality service to animals big and small, no matter where I end up! I am a people person, and love being able to combine my love of medicine with my love for community.
Outside of vet med I have a phenomenal cheering section of family and friends that I wouldn’t trade for anything, and two feisty Australian cattle dogs that keep my world spinning at high speed!

I’m so excited to be at Double J for the next 4 weeks, and can’t wait to meet you all and love on your furry friends!
