❕disclaimer: very spicy pup, haircuts for him are more “do what i can” rather than try to make it look perfect.
one thing i love about mobile grooming, is being able to successfully complete dogs like JR. he doesn’t tolerate the grooming process well, and gets super angry when my tools go near him. (i would feel the same way if i were him, tbh) lots of special precautions need to be taken when working with him, and being mobile is a huge help in being able to accomplish this with minimal stress on both myself and him.
reasons why J.R.’s parents choose mobile grooming:
🫧 one-on-one attention: he spends no time waiting in a crate, and i am able to accommodate his unique needs
🫧 calm, quiet environment: no distractions from other people, dogs, etc that you would typically have in a bustling grooming salon
🫧 no time crunch: since we only work with one pup at a time, i am able to take my time, give him as many breaks as he needs, and the stress of working under a time crunch is eliminated (this is a BIG problem with corporate salons, and is actually how most incidents occur)
after a few attempts at traditional shops were less than ideal for him, it’s so amazing looking at these photos and how happy he looks. he was even giving me kisses at the end🥹 a true success story!
reminder: regular grooming is directly linked to your dog’s health. it is not just about aesthetic/making them look cute. that’s why it’s so important to us that we do everything we can to make it happen! (safely)
if you have a spicy pup like J.R. who just plain hates being groomed, maybe a mobile salon is your solution!
