These two darling ladies are getting plenty of love, snacks, and rest while we wait for the pitter-patter of tiny piggy feet. 🍼💖

For now, they’re just enjoying their snacks and each other’s company—and honestly, we could watch them cuddle all day. 🥹💞

Throw back to toddler Ryker with Pebbles the guinea pig who started this all. I found him on craigslist and bought him for $30 with a crappy little guinea pig starter cage. He was super sweet and chill.

Hey everyone, Ashlee here! We have been busy having fun at the Portage County Randolph fair with our goats and guinea pigs!!!! Stop in and say hi. The rescue sign is up above the guinea pigs in the Rabbit barn and we have sparkly floral name tags for our goat pens!!!
Yesterday we had a great day at the fair. Rykers goats did very well with almost all placing. Two goaties got first out of almost 20 goats in their classes and they won a few trophies. Halo was first as was Princess. Creme Brulee was second behind Princess. Nugget was 4th. The Senior does also placed well with 2nd-5th places with excellent comments from the judge I think we only had one goat dismissed. Ryker did well showing them and is much improved from last year.

🌟🐹 Tip Tuesday! 🐹🌟
Here’s something every guinea pig owner should know: In Ohio, it’s actually illegal to set a guinea pig free in the wild. 🪵🌿
According to Ohio Administrative Code Rule 1501:3-2-17, “No person shall release any wild or domestic animal, or abandon such animal.”

Not only is it against the law, but it’s also incredibly unsafe for piggies. They can’t find food, protect themselves from predators, or handle Ohio’s weather without shelter. 💔

💕 The good news? Rescues like ours are here to help find safe, loving homes, and if we’re full, there are still other rescues and local APLs that can step in. There are always safe options—release is never one of them! 🥬🐾

Don’t let the name fool you—this little dude is pure gold. 💛 With his rockstar hair and scruffy charm, he’s giving total “chaotic hero with a heart of gold” energy.

🐹 Garbage Man is super cute, under a year old, and already stealing hearts faster than a movie scene. He’s got the looks, the personality, and the potential to be the star of your home.

Garbage Man was originally mistaken for a female at the pet store, which is how he ended up living with his companion, Princess. Sadly, Princess is now pregnant—another example of why pet stores so often cause heartbreak. Mis-sexing happens all the time, and it leads to accidental pregnancies and overwhelmed owners. This is exactly why rescues like ours step in to help. 💔
