Did you know arthritis affects pets too? 🐾

If your dog or cat is slowing down, struggling to jump, hesitating on stairs, or seeming stiff after resting, arthritis could be the cause.

At Northside Veterinary Hospital, we offer a variety of treatment options to help pets stay comfortable and active - including pain medications, joint supplements, laser therapy, and advanced regenerative medicine options like Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) injections.

Our goal is simple: helping pets live happier, more comfortable lives. ❤️

🦠Lyme Disease Awareness Month🦠

Did you know Lyme disease is on the rise—even here in Michigan? Recent data shows that many counties are now considered high-risk, meaning infected ticks are active in our area.

Lyme disease is transmitted by blacklegged ticks (also called deer ticks), which are most active from **March through November** and thrive in wooded, grassy, and brushy areas.

❓What this means for your pets:❓
• Dogs are especially at risk and can be exposed just by spending time in the yard
• Symptoms may include fever, joint pain, lethargy, and loss of appetite
• Some pets may not show signs right away—but complications can still develop

How to protect your pet:
✔ Keep your pet on year-round tick prevention
✔ Check for ticks after time outdoors
✔ Ask us about Lyme disease vaccination for dogs
✔ Keep grass trimmed and reduce brush in your yard

At Northside Veterinary Hospital, we’re here to help you stay ahead of tick-borne illnesses and keep your pets safe all season long.
