The garden is growing good and now we just have to wait now for things to come in. I have made my first batch of pickles but that came from my dad’s garden because he planted his garden weeks before we did so we are going to share some of what we get so that we all can have things at different times. The best time of the year is when you can just go out and pick what you want to eat.

We have added a lot of new birds to our homestead. I can’t wait to see what we will grow in to with all our new addition...

It's been a while since we've made a post. I've moved to Hillsdale and gotten a new flock and a lot more birds. I have a lot of beautiful birds with the help of my amazing boyfriend and his son. We have a big coop we built, and a few others to keep our pheasants, quail, ducks, geese, and chickens in. I couldn't have done it all without him. We also have three incubators full of chicken, pheasant, goose, and duck eggs right now that are beginning to hatch, as well as small birds in the garage that are just about ready to go outside. We have our garden just about done as well. We began an orchard as well. I can't wait to see what this season has in store for us.
