Boba came in not quite himself—and the reason wasn’t obvious at first, but the source of discomfort was coming from his mouth. X-rays revealed a sewing needle lodged under his tongue, completely undetectable during his exam.
We were able to remove it safely, and he’s already on the mend—literally. 🪡 🧵

That face you make when someone says “ICE is just doing their job”

Today we’re standing in solidarity with the General Strike and the immigrant communities being targeted and harmed. As a small business, we’re staying open — because animals still need care and support doesn’t clock out — but we’re putting action behind our words.

Not all seafood is a treat. 🐟🚫
This pup is being treated for salmon poisoning, a serious (but treatable!) condition dogs can get from eating raw or undercooked salmon, trout, or other freshwater fish.

🔬 Swipe-worthy science moment:
That tiny oval in the photo? It’s the egg of the fluke parasite (Nanophyetus salmincola). The fluke carries a bacterium that makes dogs very sick if not treated promptly.

⚠️ Symptoms can include:
• Lethargy
• Vomiting or diarrhea
• Fever
• Loss of appetite

The good news? With early diagnosis and proper treatment, dogs usually make a full recovery—just like our fishy-snack regretter here.
Reminder: Please don’t let dogs snack on raw fish and be extra vigilant about monitoring your dog near rivers and lakes.

If your dog gets into something questionable (or smells suspiciously like a sushi roll 🍣) we’re here when you need us. 💫
