Well… a closely field fire was not on my 2024 “Life Bingo card”. A huge thank you to tualatin valley fire, especially the midway fire station; and Don and Doug Reese who were out there with their tractors cutting fire lines…
Our barn was 3/8 mile from the fire, and the wind was blowing away from us- but it’s always a good idea to have fire suppression on your radar this time of the year…

I know the barn isn’t alive- but I swear it planned to have a major water leak JUST before we left on our vacation. So that little “sword of damocles” was hanging over my head during the entire trip. We got home- I rented an excavator for a couple days and. Now I have a big ditch across my driveway- and, while we found a couple leaks in the under driveway line- there is still
