All the single ladies.....Yes we have ladies who prefer to be Diva's and really dislike sharing a cage with anyone. We know they say that everyone needs a cage mate but when there is constant fighting and bickering resulting in injuries and vet bills, it's not worth it.

Some challenges of keeping a single pig:
-they need more human attention than bonded pigs
- they need an enriching environment to prevent boredom
-they do best in a high traffic area with movement and sounds- like a hallway or living room. Bedrooms can often be too quiet and cause shyness and boredom.

Some benefits of keeping a single pig:
-don't have to worry about fighting/unbonding
-only 100 poops a day instead of 200!
-many single pigs bond deeply to their humans, and often the ones who arent nice to other pigs are very nice to people, due to their high confidence.

All the single guys......these solo guys are looking for the perfect home. So many have been waiting as patiently as they can to find the home for them...These guys prefer being by themself then having a room mate. We know about guinea pigs needing a friend but we are also trying to be realistic that sometimes it just doesn't work and it's not worth fights and vet bills.

Oops, well it's Thursday today 😀

We have had a few adoptions over the last couple weeks and I've been slow about posting them so let's hear congratulations to the following lucky guinea pigs!!

Joey went off to live with a new brother and was as happy as could be.

Smores and Cannoli were happy to find a family suited just for them and they are being spoiled by everyone there.

Buttercup was a lucky girl and is being treated like the Diva she is and getting lots of love and attention. She also helps her mom bake we were told.

Cinnamon and Snowball were lucky girls to go off with a new family who adores them. We know they are being spoiled to no end.

Our lovely girl Rusty who had been left in a box at Home Depot was lucky to be scooped up by a repeat adopter who could care less about Rusty's eye color and assured Rusty she won't ever have to visit Home Depot again and she will be living next to 2 other new sisters.

Thank you to all of you who have recently adopted from us. We can not tell you how much we appreciate you!!!
