This week's report card highlights ⭐

🐾 Abe discovered the sprinkler while we were watering the garden. He did not simply walk through it. He danced.

🐾 Jada and Lily (and their walker) got absolutely startled by a turkey vulture. Everyone recovered. Everyone had a good laugh. We're all fine.

🐾 Roman stopped mid-walk to smell the daisies. We waited. Some things can't be rushed.

🐾 Yoshi was playing hide-and-seek. When we found him, he immediately rolled over for pre-walk belly rubs. He knew exactly what he was doing.

Every walk gets a photo, video, and GPS route, not because we have to, but because you should get to see this stuff. It's genuinely the best part of the job.

People always ask, "can my dog come to my wedding?" And the answer is almost always yes. But it takes some planning.

Here's what we actually do as a wedding pet attendant:

✔️ Keep your dog calm and comfortable during the ceremony
✔️ Handle all the leash logistics during portraits
✔️ Time bathroom and exercise breaks around your schedule
✔️ Watch their body language so we catch stress early
✔️ Coordinate with your venue, planner and photographer
✔️ Safely transport your dog to and from the venue

Lucy did all of this in stride during her parents' May wedding. She was calm as she watched the bridal party get ready, sweet during the photos, and completely exhausted by the end — which is exactly how a dog should feel after a wedding.

It's been a stormy week here in Indiana ⛈

Some dogs take thunder completely in stride. Others have decided that the safest place to be is as close to a human as physically possible, preferably with a paw on your foot at all times.

Either way, we've got them covered today.

A few things that help on days like this: keeping routines as normal as possible, closing blinds to reduce the lightning flashes, turning on a TV or some background noise to muffle the rumbles, and just being a calm presence. Dogs read our energy more than we realize and if you're relaxed, it helps them get there too.

For the ones who are really struggling, even just sitting near them (not making a big fuss, just being there) can make a difference.

Today's visits looked a little different. More indoor play, more snuggle time, fewer outdoor adventures. And honestly? Not a bad way to spend a stormy afternoon. 🐾

We had the sweetest job last weekend ♥️ Lucy was the guest of honor at her family's wedding, and we were there to make sure she got to enjoy every moment of it.

As a wedding pet attendant, we handle all the dog logistics so the couple doesn't have to think about a thing. That means keeping her calm while the bridal party is getting ready, wrangling her for portraits, making sure she gets outside when she needs a break. All of it.

Lucy was a rockstar. 🐾

We've known Lacey for three years.

She came to us not long after she was adopted, still a puppy, still figuring everything out. Her family needed someone to walk and care for her while they were away, and they took a chance on us. We don't take that lightly.

Last week we did daily drop-in visits while they were on vacation. Walks, playtime and fresh water. One sunny afternoon, Lacey even enjoyed a pup-cicle (ice cube) and a treat, followed by Lacey putting her head in a lap and requesting ear rubs until further notice.

One walk happened to fall on garage sale day. The neighborhood was busy, strangers everywhere, and Lacey was completely in her element. Multiple people stopped to tell her she was beautiful. Obviously.

She got a report card after every single visit so her family knew exactly how her day went. That's the thing about in-home care. it's not just "she was fine." It's the details. The lap. The garage sale crowd. The way she soaked up every compliment like she'd earned it.

Yesterday was a ✨magical✨ day with Lucy at her parents’ wedding 🐾🥂 She spent the morning getting ready with the bridal party and was an absolute star in her flower crown for post-ceremony photos.

We love when couples include their best friend on their special day and it’s an absolute honor to be their trusted pet attendant.

Something we take seriously that doesn't always get mentioned:

We ask about your dog's commands before we ever start. The words you use, the hand signals, the stuff you've spent time on in training. And then we use them.

Because a walk shouldn't undo six months of progress. Your dog doesn't need to learn that "come" means something different depending on who's holding the leash.

It’s the Thursday before Memorial Day weekend, and our dogs are already in full summer mode. 🐾

These are just a few of the faces we got to hang out with this week. And yes, they absolutely know a long weekend is coming ☀️

We’ve got clients booked all weekend, which means while you’re grilling and relaxing, their dogs are at home getting walks, cuddles, and photo updates from us. No boarding. No kennels. Just someone who knows their dog’s name, their commands, and exactly how dramatic they get when it’s dinnertime.

Freddy's parents commute from Munster to Chicago for work each week. On a normal day, Freddy would be home alone for about 10 hours. On a long day , maybe 12.

But luckily for Freddy, that's never had to happen. He gets a mid-morning and an afternoon walk with the same person each week, someone who knows his best tricks, favorite sniff spots, and which neighborhood dogs to avoid.
