Bee stings and bug bites are common this time of year, and pets can react just like we do. Some reactions are mild, while others can be more serious.

If you notice swelling, hives, vomiting, or trouble breathing, contact a emergency vet right away. Even with mild reactions, it’s always a good idea to give us a call so we can help you decide what to do next.

Fireworks are exciting for us but stressful for many pets. Loud noises can cause anxiety, pacing, hiding, or even attempts to escape.

Here are a few ways to help keep your pet safe and calm this Memorial Day:

β€’ Keep them indoors during fireworks
β€’ Create a quiet space with familiar blankets or toys
β€’ Use background noise like TV or music
β€’ Double‑check collars, tags, and microchips
β€’ Walk dogs early before the noise starts

If your pet has a hard time with fireworks or loud sounds, give us a call at (336) 887-2606. We’re here to help keep them safe and comfortable.
