My mother had rescued this seven month old Great Pyrenees pup from a poor situation, but it was incredibly anxious around people and she got loose today. We’re located right by the Loves Travel Stop, where Highway 321 crosses over Highway 10. She doesn’t have a collar, and she probably won’t walk up to anyone. Some of you may already know, I’ve been in the hospital for the majority of July for an infection in my spine/hip. I am back home and resting up good before springing back into action. I will need to take it slow for the first few weeks back to work, and I know a lot of you have dogs in need of some extra attention. I still have a fair amount of pain in my hip and probably shouldn’t jump back into a full workload right away. Please continue to be patient with me during this time while I’m getting back to full health. I will not be offended if you need to take your dog to another groomer for the time being. I’m planning on going back to work this coming week. I have missed all of you so much and I can’t wait to get back into the swing of things. I hope to see you soon, and take care!

Just Fur Pets WILL REMAIN OPEN as long as we practice “Social Distancing.” Clients will need to stay inside the foyer (which is disinfected several times a day) during drop-off and pick-up. Or, if you prefer, I can come out to your vehicle and bring your pet inside. If we fail to comply with “Social Distancing” I could receive a pretty hefty fine and lose my certification, so this is extremely important to me. We need to protect each other and our pets. Keeping dogs’ coats properly maintained is essential for their health, so we definitely can’t take any chances that may result in a shut-down. Please be respectful, responsible and considerate. I’m counting on you!

Good morning to all my wonderful clients and their beautiful puppies. As you are well aware, this pandemic has everyone in shambles in attempt to keep each other safe and healthy. I am elbows deep (in rubber gloves!) in attempt to keep my workspace safe, disinfected and corona-free. Just Fur Pets will remain in business until closures are mandatory... as long as there are no safety risks for my clients or myself. I have, however, made a few temporary changes in the best interest of everyone involved.

NO WALK-IN SERVICES. This includes nail trims. Call or text to book an appointment with me. The door will remain locked unless I am anticipating someone’s arrival.

I AM NOT ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS at this time. I need to make sure my regulars are properly taken care of. In addition, my schedule stays booked about a week in advance. If I am unable to answer your call, always always always leave a voicemail. It may take a day or so for me to get back to you, but I promise I am trying my best. Everything is a little crazy for one person to be able to tackle by herself. If you wish to cancel your appointment, I ask that you please let me know at least a day in advance so I can fill the spot back up. I completely understand if you feel it is unsafe to leave your home. Staying healthy is the most important thing. This brings me to my next safety adjustment:

CURBSIDE PICKUP. If you do not feel safe entering the building, I would be more than happy to come out to your vehicle and bring your dog(s) inside. This also includes returning them to you when the services have been completed. You can call me when you’ve arrived or simply tap your horn.

Be safe, be smart, and together we will beat this thing. Try to keep small businesses in mind; a lot of them will have a difficult time surviving this. Take care, and I hope see you soon!

This is Jojo. Her owner is moving and can’t take her along, so we are looking for a good, cozy and loving home for her to live out the rest of her years. She will be 15 in June this year. She doesn't do well with children or other pets so she would need to be the only child. She's been a house dog her entire life and is a wonderful guard dog. Please help us find a nice home for her. She’s very nervous meeting new people but deserves a nice, quiet home to love and protect.

I finally cancelled the service for the old Just Fur Pets’ phone number. I’ve been slowly switching numbers for the past eight months so HOPEFULLY everyone has my contact information updated by now. I have successfully corrected the contact information on Yelp, Google and Facebook. The location of Just Fur Pets has not been changed; I have only changed the phone number. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. In addition, I appreciate every single one of you for all of the loving support and help keeping Just Fur Pets’ doors open for three years now! I sincerely adore each and every pup that comes through those doors, and will continue to put their safety and comfort first. 🐩 🐾
