🚨 Heard about the new law that went into effect 9/1/25 for Animal Control Officers? No? Let me explain!

✍🏻 Move Over/Slow Down Law (Senate Bill 305 & House Bill 2041)

🐾 What it means for drivers:
➡️ If you see an animal control vehicle or officer working on the roadside:

✔️ Move Over a lane if you can
✔️ If you can’t move, Slow Down 20 mph below the speed limit (or to 5 mph if the limit is 25 mph or less).

❗ Violators can face serious fines and penalties.

This law was passed after the tragic loss of two Levelland, TX Animal Control Officers in 2022. It’s about keeping officers—and the animals they’re helping—safe.
