Sharing a success story that we are so proud of!

Buddy started coming to us a little over a year ago. He was quite aggressive with the staff, but due to him having no teeth and his mom explaining he was a rescue - found starved & digging through trash on the streets of Atlanta (obviously very mistreated in the past) I knew we had to atleast try with the little guy as him ending up in a typical boarding facility would’ve no doubt worsened his anxiety. The first few months was HARD. There were many times I questioned my decision as the staff could not pick him up or pet him, and feeding times were often a struggle due to his food guarding. He absolutely refused to come into the facility on his own. But we kept on keeping on. We saw small improvements, but I wasn’t sure he was ever going to be “happy” being dropped off. In July of 2025 I hired Khristal. She automatically made it her goal to spend as much one on one time as possible with Buddy. She would sit on the floor in his suite for hours on end, just talking to him. Within the next few months I was receiving pictures and videos of him sitting on her lap, giving her kisses, being held. The progress was amazing, with his owner even commenting on how happy she was with the changes she had seen in him since first coming to us. Fast foward to 2026 - Buddy now ECSTATICALLY runs into our facility and is currently sitting on my lap as I write this 😎 Buddy is such a great example of how love, patience, and compassion can truly change an animals life. Big shoutout to Khristal!!!! who made it a personal goal to improve Buddys anxiety with humans and without a doubt has absolutely crushed it. Seeing him go from a terrified dog to a lively, happy pup is a nice reminder of why we do what we do!

Must have 7am-6pm availability & able to work either Saturdays or Sundays. (Both a plus).
