Say hi to Bear! 🐻💛
This handsome 1-year-old American Pit Bull is officially checked in at Lizzy’s for his Basic Board & Train with The Dog School. And let me tell you, photos don’t do him justice. This big guy weighs in at 86 pounds and has the strength to pull Santa’s sleigh if Rudolph and the crew ever call in sick.

Over the next week we’ll be working on the essentials: recall, sit, down, place, and a solid heel. We’re also helping him break one very bad habit… eating absolutely everything he can get his paws on. If it exists, Bear thinks it’s a snack. 😅

We’ll also be tightening up his threshold manners and helping him build the calm, confident foundation he deserves.

Stay tuned. This boy is going to have an incredible transformation, and we can’t wait to share his progress with you! 🐾✨

🐾✨ We Were SO Thankful! ✨🐾

This Thanksgiving, our hearts (and our lodge!) were absolutely full — we were honored to be hosting over 48 amazing dogs for the holiday! 🦃🐶💛

From cozy boarding pups to playful daycare friends, our building was buzzing with wagging tails, happy zoomies, and all the love we could ask for.

We wanted to give a HUGE thank-you to our incredible community for your trust and support — not only during our opening days, but every single day since. Your belief in us means the world, and we’re grateful for every pup that walks through our doors.
Here’s to holidays filled with joy, gratitude, and lots of furry snuggles. 🧡

From our family, our kiddos, and all the wagging tails here at TDS and Lizzy’s — we hope your day is filled with love, gratitude, good food, and even better company. We are incredibly thankful for every pup who has come through our doors and every family who has trusted us with their four-legged loved ones. 💛🐾

While you’re enjoying Thanksgiving dinner, your pups may be giving you those eyes 👀 — you know the ones! Here are some SAFE Thanksgiving foods your dog can enjoy in moderation:

🥧 Dog-Safe Thanksgiving Treats

✅ Turkey (plain, cooked, no skin or bones)
Lean, fully cooked turkey is a great high-protein treat. Avoid seasoned, fried, or fatty pieces.

✅ Sweet Potatoes (plain, cooked)
Mashed, baked, or boiled — just no butter, sugar, or marshmallows.

✅ Pumpkin (plain purée or cooked pumpkin)
NOT pumpkin pie filling, which contains sugar and spices.

✅ Green Beans (plain, cooked or raw)
A great crunchy, healthy snack — no casseroles!

✅ Carrots (plain, cooked or raw)
Crunchy goodness and perfect for sensitive tummies.

✅ Apples (seedless slices)
Fresh and crisp, but make sure to remove seeds and core.

🎉🐾 WE ARE OFFICIALLY OPEN! 🐾🎉

The doors of Lizzy's Luxury Lodge and Daycare are wide open, and we are already having the BEST time welcoming our very first pups! 🐶✨

From adorable meet-and-greets, to cozy overnight boarding, to fresh-and-fluffy grooming sessions—our team has been working nonstop to give every dog the luxury experience they deserve. And let us tell you… these pups are LOVING it! 🛁💤💕

The Dog School at Lizzy’s is off to an AMAZING start! 🎓🐕
Todd Owen has officially begun in-house training sessions, and the progress we’re seeing already is incredible. Our first trainees are crushing their goals, and we’re so proud of how quickly they’re picking up new skills and manners!
