Pet of the month is Patience/Posie!! Hi my name is Patience! I have a ton of energy and will need to be trained. I will be 4 years old on 11/10/26 and I am an Australian Shepard mix. I love to play with toys as you can see in my pictures. I do play well with other dogs, although I am a little rough. Would love to chase cats and chickens, so would do better without any of those around. Older kids would be best as well because I am so hyper I might accidentally knock over a small child. I will learn fast if someone would put in the time to train. I was adopted by a nice family, but they unfortunately did not have the time to train me. I do listen to men better than I do women, but the nice female kennel workers are training me to listen better to them as well. This sweet baby was picked up in-between Buffalo Springs and Vashti. He was running down the road in the rain. A nice gentleman picked up to keep safe from the rain and the traffic. We had a blast yesterday at Henrietta Elementary Career Day! The kids had great questions and it was nice talking to them. We can’t wait until next year!

UPDATE: FOUND!! HOME SAFE!!

MISSING! This sweet old dog, Penny, is missing from Southern Clay County near the Jack County Line since the storms Saturday night. She is deaf so may not hear you call her. If seen or found please call the shelter at 940-538-6757 or message us on here. We will contact owner.

This sweet baby was dumped at the Clay County line along with his sister. Since then his sister has found a home. I met this sweet fella yesterday at the Alley Cat in WF. His name is Duke. Probably about a 1-2 years going by his teeth. Very well mannered. He has a appointment coming up to get his vetting done . If you can find it in your heart to make him a family member or foster,please contact Bonnie at the Clay County Animal Shelter at 940-538-6757 or call 940-882-1360. HE IS NOT AT THE SHELTER.

UPDATE: RED GIRL HAS FOUND A NEW HOME!! BLACK/WHITE BOY STILL LOOKING FOR HIS!

FOUND! These two dogs were found on 1740 last night 4/17/26. If yours please message us on here and we will let finders know. They are with the finders not at the shelter.

These sweet pups, Bumble (brown/white), Rumble (black/white with the most black on head) and Tumble (black/white runt/less black on head) were dumped left to starve on a dirt road on the edge of the county. They were skin and bone when we took them in last Saturday 4/11/26. We are needing donations to help with their vetting, they went and got their first vaccines on 4/15/26. They go back for their second vaccines on May 6th and will schedule their neuter appointments then. If you can help with their vetting, you can donate through our website: ccastx.com. You can also fill out an application on there as well if interested, they aren’t on their yet until all their vetting is completed, but you can still fill one out to be pre-approved when they are ready to go! FINAL UPDATE: HE IS OFFICIALLY 25.8 POUNDS AND WILL NEED A DIET!

UPDATE: GUS HAS FOUND A GREAT HOME, HE WILL BE GOING SATURDAY AFTER HIS VET APPOINTMENT WEDNESDAY! WE WILL UPDATE THE POST WITH HIS WEIGHT ON WEDNESDAY WHEN WE GET AN ACCURATE WEIGHT AT HIS VET APPOINTMENT. THANK YOU FOR ALL THE INTEREST IN THIS BIG SWEET BOY!!

Sweet Gus just came in after his owner sadly passed away. He is a big boy! Anyone wanna guess how much he weighs?? We will try to weigh him tomorrow, if he fits on our scale 🙃, but he will be definitely be weighed next week at his vet appointment! He will be up for adoption after that!

MISSING! This sweet dog, Ozzy, went missing by the Family Dollar in Henrietta yesterday around noon. If anyone has seen or has him please message us on here or call the shelter at 940-538-6757 and we will let owner know. He is very missed.
