A five-year-old male German Shorthaired Pointer, “Finn”, went missing from a residence in Ivanhoe earlier today. He is primarily brown with white/brown speckling and has an orange collar.

Hey everyone found this little gal on the side of the road on my way home, she’s super friendly and seems to be only a couple months old, I found her south east of st Leo near the intersection of 200th Ave and county road 10 in yellow medicine county, burton township. ***UPDATE: This dog is HOME!!*****Found dog 3 miles south of Hendricks.
Found a pitbull type dog near 3 mile corner outside of Hendricks running loose. She was picked up to keep her from getting hit by a car. Lots of ticks on her and a pretty pronounced limp. Message Marshall Pet Rescue-Minnesota if you know her and or her owners.

PSA: A Reminder After This Weekend — Protect Pets in Our Community

This past weekend, a dog in our city was shot with a pellet gun.

Let that sink in for a moment. A pet—someone’s companion—was injured in a place where families, kids, and neighbors live side by side.

Pellet and BB guns are not harmless. They can cause real pain, permanent injury, or worse. In Minnesota, intentionally harming a pet without a valid reason can be considered animal cruelty—even if it’s done with an air-powered gun.

Beyond the legal side, there’s a bigger issue:

These are residential neighborhoods, not hunting grounds
Shots can miss or travel farther than expected
Pets often wander, but that doesn’t make them targets

If you’re dealing with a loose or nuisance animal:

Contact animal control or local law enforcement
Give the owner a chance to address the situation
Use safe, non-harmful ways to protect your property

Hurting an animal should never be the solution.

Let’s take care of each other—neighbors, families, and the pets that are part of them.

Be better. Be responsible. Protect what matters.

This cat showed up at my place today about 5 miles north of Hendricks if it belongs to anyone. Came right up to me and enjoys company of chickens. I don't need another cat, if she isn't claimed and someone would like her. Contact Laura Sherman on Hendricks MN "Happenings" on Facebook. Thanks.

***Horses have been located.****This from the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office today (Feb. 26, 2026): "These two horses went missing from their residence south of Lake Benton near 220th Ave and CO Hwy 9. If you have seen or see them, please contact our agency. Do not approach the larger horse as it is skittish and will likely bolt/spook. The larger horse is described as a tan mustang and the smaller a brown Shetland pony."

This is from Lincoln County Sheriff's Department-MN:
"This dog has been wandering around on County Road 104 south of Highway 19 for a couple weeks. If you have any information, please contact the sheriff’s office at 507-694-1664." Please share.

***UPDATE***- This dog is home.***MISSING DOG NEAR TORONTO, SD: We need help! Nikki rolled her car just before 9am this morning. Thankfully she is ok. However Maggie was with her and got out of the car and took off. We can not find her anywhere. The accident happened just south of Toronto by the curves.
