Healing Reins of Kentucky Inc. provides Equine Assisted Services in Henderson KY. All donations stay LOCAL!

At Healing Reins, our mission is “to assist individuals with special needs in meeting their full potential through interaction with horses”. Through equine-assisted services, we help enhance participants physically, emotionally, cognitively, and socially. These services build balance & coordination, flexibility, core muscle strength, sequencing, speech and communication, self-esteem and self-confi

dence. Your tax-deductible donation will fund the tools needed to provide a safe and effective environment for our services. This Includes equine care, facility fees, adaptive equipment, certified instructors and other costs associated with this program. As summer winds down, we look back at all the great interactions we had! Some of our favorite highlights include hosting over 30 students from AKZ, the Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting for our pavilion, a new summer session, and watching a few of our year-round riders compete at some horse shows!

None of this would be possible without YOU! Thank you to our wonderful volunteers, horses, participants, and donors for a great summer!

Please join us in welcoming our newest Board Member, Dr. Ralph Rogers!

A lifelong horseman, Ralph has seen firsthand the incredible impact horses can have on people's lives. As a longtime supporter of Healing Reins, we're thrilled that he's now bringing his passion, fundraising expertise, and leadership to our Board of Directors.

As Ralph puts it: "I have a love for horses and know the inherent gift they have for helping heal humans."

We're grateful to have him on the team and look forward to the difference we'll make together! 🐴💙

Leroy is a bay quarter horse gelding. He enjoys trail rides, jumping, horse shows, and of course- eating!

There are lots of bays in our herd. A bay colored horse has a reddish-brown or brown body with black tipped ears and lower legs as well as a black mane and tail.

Thank you to the Henderson Lions Club for awarding Healing Reins a 2026 grant in support of our Team H lessons!

Team H is a weekly program for adults with disabilities that explores all things horses in a fun, supportive, and engaging environment.

Through hands-on learning and a variety of horse-related and creative activities, participants build friendships, grow in confidence, strengthen problem-solving skills, and develop teamwork and leadership abilities.

We are incredibly grateful to the Henderson Lions Club for investing in our participants and helping make programs like Team H possible.
