So proud of my little blue dragon 🐉. He was my first show horse and we did all the things in the breed circuit for years. For those that have seen us together there have been tears of joy and sometimes tears of humility. He has never been easy, but he has taught me more than anyone else. He seemed burnt out so I gave him a few years off. He stared trying to enter the arena when I was riding Lucky so we said what the hell and started working with him. Now at 17 he’s started dressage. This was only his 2nd show. I basically skipped intro with Lucky and later realized it was a mistake. I left some things on the table that haunted me later. So we started from the bottom. This was his second show and he ended with a 67.75 in Intro C so we will move up to Training next show. What a true pleasure he has been to work with all these years. He still had a few moments, he’s definitely got some pony in there. Our relationship is sometimes a negotiation. I am sure many would have passed on his nonsense , but he has been worth it and I have learned so much and fell so very proud to have earned his trust. Thank you to my friend and coach Heather Kilby for helping us get along in times of stress 🙏😝. We couldn’t have done it without you

Whistler is feeling great! Now we know we need some practice but so excited to ride him! He is so fun
