This is office kitty and she doesn’t like where she is at all, but she’s coming around after losing her pet parent before one of our house calls. She will need a home if she comes around and we can get her vaccinated without completely stressing her out. She’s definitely grieving. She has a nice little cozy setup but likes hanging out on this supply shelf.

We have a guest because one of our dear customers sadly passed away before one of our house calls last week. Family reached out to us for support to help coordinate many things with the family while living out of state. Samantha is a very, very sad cat, and extremely challenging to deal with. One of our amazing veterinarians saw her before and she was wonderful to work with along side her late owner. Things are very different now. We are looking after her for the next 10 days so that she can decompress a little from the tragic loss she is clearly trying to comprehend. Our sincerest condolences go out to the family while trusting us to care for Samantha at home. This took almost a day of planning and ex*****on to get her into a safe place here.

Her name is Nike but we call her charity cat after donating her a life saving surgery when she encountered problems giving birth. Today we transported the owner and Nike to our partner hospital to have her sutures removed. She didn’t seem to mind the rain, car ride or anything. We use pheromones in our vehicle that seem to keep all of the cats comfortable with little anxiety.

“Brown dog” was going to be confiscated by the city from his homeless owner if he didn’t get him chipped and vaccinated. A caring compassionate person helped us coordinate his care today that was gifed to Brown Dog. We even took him on a little shopping spree to get him a chew stick, new leash and a big bag of food. He did great.

Out of curiosity, our systems programmer wanted to see what our house call schedule looked like over the last 2 months so she put all of the locations on a single map. We haven’t been everywhere yet. 🤣 Places to go, pets to see, one mile at a time. 🐾

VANVETS would not exist today if it wasn’t for the inspiration Jane seeded in our founder to care for all animals at an early age. Jane inspired generations around the world and her impact was profound. May you rest in peace dear Jane.

We are really busy this week. We will be prioritizing house calls this week so that sick pets get attention before vaccine appointments and other wellness visits. We will schedule wellness visits into next week. For emergency or urgent cases, we will be providing two way VETLYFT pet transport services to hospitals.

This sweet mancoon needed to come into the hospital after we sedated it during a house call. Her hair was so matted, this was the only way it could be done. She looks super cute now.

What started as a routine housecall to update this cat’s vaccines, turned into a VETLYFT to the hospital to shave some extremely matted fur under anesthesia. The cat was sedated before our transport and everything went smoothly. Our senior customer was happy that we were able to get her the care she needed so conveniently.

We tried to do a pet transport with VETLYFT to get this poor boy into the hospital for a dental and nail trim. His nails are so long he’s having trouble walking. He’s a very traumatized dog. We weren’t able to transport him. It took almost an hour to get a collar and muzzle on him. We will try again, but he will need to be sedated during a house call, crated, then safely transported and put under general anesthesia at the hospital to get him care

This isn’t the first time we’ve had to do something like this. If we don’t provide this service, animals definitely suffer leaving their owners with few options. 🐾❤️
