DONATION RECEIVED! THANK YOU SO MUCH!! We need a 60 inch 300 polyfill winter turnout blanket for a rescued senior donkey. I have attached one below on sale for cheap if anyone would like to donate. IT IS ALMOST CHRISTMAS AND A DONKEY NOT ONLY CARRIED MARY TO THE INN BUT ALSO CARRIED JESUS MANY TIMES. THEY ALSO HELP GET NEEDED SUPPLIES INTO DISASTER AREAS LIKE THE RECENT FLOODS IN MOUNTAINS. LET'S PAY IT FORWARD TO THIS STOIC BREED OF EQUINES!

HSHC Equine Division is needing donations of (5) Rope Halters, (5) sturdy Lead Ropes and a couple of small feed buckets. Monetary donations can also be made payable to Humane Society Of Henderson County with "Equine Division" noted in the memo. A receipt can be given for monetary and item donations for tax write-off.

HSHC Equine Division is needing Fosters for Equines that will come into the division through surrender or seizure from Henderson County Animal Control. Would you like to be a part of helping us save, rehabilitation and protect horses until the are able to be adopted? If you are interested please list you email in comments or by sending a pm so we can send you our Foster Application. Once apps are approved home visits will be scheduled for final approval.

A few things to know:
No barbwire fencing
Adequate shelter
Clean water source (not a pond/lake)

If you cannot help foster we are always in need of volunteers and donations of hay, feed and supplies

Humane Society of Henderson County welcomes you to like and follow our new Equine Division. The Division was created to assist Animal Control with the abundance of equine calls and help care for the equines with rehab, etc. until they can be adopted. We have an amazing Team working in this Division giving amazing care and love to the equines, which includes myself. We have a Board of Directors, which also includes myself, that wanted to create better lives for all animals large and small so we banded together to start this division to do so. Equine care is very expensive so we will need donations for housing, food, hay, supplements, Farrier and health care to name a few.
