It might seem like harmless fun, but laser pointers can actually be harmful for dogs—especially high-drive breeds like GSPs.

Chasing a laser triggers their prey drive… but they never “catch” it, leading to frustration and anxiety

Can create obsessive behaviors like chasing lights and shadows

Dogs may hurt themselves trying to catch something they can’t see, smell, or grab

And yes—lasers can damage their eyes if shined directly

Instead, swap the laser for toys they can catch and win 🐶💛
